Btw to add on, FC of 35km/l is good already. To get mebbe ard 40km/l u might need to ride conservatively, change gears with momentum and ensure that chains, tyre pressure and etc all in "good condition". 35km/l is very good already bro. Unlike my vara which is 25km/l. Im feeling the difference now in terms of petrol $$....khkhakhaka

don't forget the power diff between that and a 400cc which is relatively about the same FC ;)

yup.. finally i got my Fc latest of 38km/L..

chains everyhow long do you check???

tyre pressure every 2-3 days?

once or fortnightly is sufficient

Makes me feel real good that my 1200 is giving me about 22~26km/l :D

I do ride really slow though....

Stock filters are not reusable.

Its designed to use as an one-off, so dont try to save the couple of bucks for a piece of mind. :)

For reusable filter, there are alternative like K&N, which they have separate recharger kit for you to clean the filters.

check your chain slider...this is a part that support your chain prior to disappear into the engine...the part is assembled onto the frame of the machine...just trace the chain into the front sprockets and u will come to it..if it is worn out itneeds to be changed.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

just take alook in your bike....just follow the description...it is just a part that is supporting the chain and prvent the chain from coming into contact with he swing arm...other design could be rather complicated..

Hi!, welcome to SBF... and most importantly, welcome to Phantom Knights!

For a start, read up on the guide for newbies, stickied at the top of the phantom knights page. Its full of essential informations.

FX plate for $2.2k...? omg... :dozed: sounds like the shop sold the bike in poor condition to you... did you buy the bike under recommendation by a more experienced rider? Changing chain and sprocket within one week essentially make your bike $2.33k

If your bike vibrate very badly at high speeds, the clutch plates, wheel bearings, and / or steering cone might be damaged. Please check with a reputable mechanic to see which part is at fault, and whatever other parts might need replacement as well... a bike in poor condition is just a few steps from disaster.

I would, and probably most other phantom knights would recommend you to go to planet motorcycle service center at Block 3007 Ubi road 1. Please do NOT go back to the shop where you bought your bike from, they are just out to drain more money out of you.

Ride safe!

I don't believe there is a thing as... comfortable top speed... as long as the bike is good to go it should be smooth through out its speed range...

But PLEASE! don't "attempt" to try out top speed or simply, speeding... it is important that you make sure your bike is in good condition and that you are well accustomed to it... its handling is different from a school bike

Is it expensive to service the front fork? My seals are degrading but the front suspension is working fine.

Alright. Ultimate question. I have found the valve to tune to air fuel ratio just behind the ignition key place. So how do i start? clock wise or anti clock wise to get better fc?

please do not plan to go chiong melaka yet... you need more experience...

I know there are very very tempting trips but surely there will be more available as time go by, and when then you are better prepared. You need to experience the different scenarios on the road first before braving the wilderness far away out of singapore...
