irc tires have not been recieving good reviews since the day i join sbf.. it was said tat on wet surfaces, the tires jus dun grip... glad tat u were ok.. instead of taking the risk, y not jus get them changed.. u'll not wat to test the tires dont you..

during rainy days best is to ride slower la... better late den never... use more of engine brakes rather then the brakes itself... :goodluck:

I think IRC tyres aren't recieving any good comments when it comes to slippery road.

Somebody said that the bike's more difficult to start when the choke's pulled? Please ensure that you dun throttle in when starting the bike. Choke on means dun throttle.

Some noobie questions coming up:

1) If i want to change EO, do some checks and tuning, what is the recommend motortiam for this, which provide good, and reliable and fairly inexpensive services? Is it ah koon? I know its highly recommended by the PKs.

2) If i want to mod my bike, like change handlebar, change leg rest, change different parts, i also go to ah koon huh? Or are there other shops with good price and recommended?

REPLY: We can only share the info wif you, how good, it also base on your expectation. To be frank Ah koon is not the Best

REPLY: There are allot of mod shop in SG, it depend on wat you want & how much you can Pay. Maybe you can be more specify on wat are the items you want eg, eagle handle bar or fatboy style or sporster & etc , If you want a full cosmectic mod. Can $3500.00 wif paint job? :thumb:

If you have meet up with the Knight in here for outting & etc, you will know & see & can ask wif a better pic abt it.

Noobie question:

When the petrol lights up orange, meaning low fuel, how long can it last till the reserve petrol are used up? How many KM roughly? Pls advice, thanks!

Next time it flashes orange, go straight into a petrol kiosk and pump full tank.

The bike's full tank capacity is 11.2L, so 11.2 minus whatever you manage to pump inside (the figure is inside the receipt) should be your "reserve" tank.

For the old model, my reserve is around 3+ litres. If you estimate 1 litre can travel an average and conservative mileage of 30km/ltr, then I can estimate my reserve can last me for 90~100km.

Hope this helps.

When it flashes orange, i also wanted to go and pump, but i was on my way to work and can't afford to be late, so i just carry on for awhile maybe like 10km and reach work place and parked. Therefore first thing this evening after work i will go and pump again. Thanks for the help, at least i know the reserve still can last me some 50km and above.......kool. cheers!

You're welcome!

If you cannot immediately go and pump, just note the distance travelled between when the light flashes till you pump, then add back to your estimate.

about your braking, my brake was also like yours last time. Solved it by changing the spring for the front brake. Now my brake very smooth and soft

another cheaper method is to spray some oil at the lever area. It might work :goodluck:

Did you just buy a 2nd hand bike?

There are times when the bike has been left there too long, then the brake pump will be very stiff and reacts like that. I changed the brake pump and it's so smooth now.

I pump when i see the orange light on the petrol signal, which is about 300km travelled since my last pump. Try to pump when close to the finish of the tank, because some experienced riders told me, try not to mix two different type of petrol especially if you still got half tank then pump another type of half tank, that might cause problems. Unless you always pump the same brand same type, then no problem at all........cheers! :cheeky:
