Piston Question

I just changed my KR piston. I ask the uncle whether must run in, but he say no need... may i know why buy first hand bike must run in but why change new piston no need to run in??

 

and another thing is that if de-carbonise the exhaust the bike will be faster?

I think need lei. new piston/old block i think will have some grinding.

 

If you de-carbonize your exhaust your emissions will be cleaner. I believe it will be faster, after all an exhaust filled with crud would result in sluggish acceleration. Try an impromptu de-carbonization by redlining your engine for 30-45 secs and see if acceleration is better?

Yup i noticed some grinding. Ya what i meant by faster is acceleration... i noticed too the acceleration sucked as im using the shop's pipe now.. the pipe's all rusty...
