Hi All Senior,

I just gotten my 2B and need some advise for bike. Using for traveling to work only and will be going for 2A once after 1 year. So about 2yrs will change bike again. Any good advice if i should go for scooters or street bike? Need some storage space to put my raincoat and briefcase.

Not sure what else to look for so please give me some advise.

Buy a scooter for under seat storage or cub for low fuel consumption.

I will choose scooter if i need storage space... although its auto gear but still there are alot of 2b new riders that ride scooter for their 2b period and successfully pass their 2a. So no worry about that maybe u just need to attend a few more lessons compare to the rest. I assume u are dress in office wear daily and carry a briefcase, scooter posture will be easier with your attire. I am riding a Sym GTS 200 for daily transport now and i feel its really easy to operate.

Personally, i really don't like cubs, the braking power and weight to hold it down might not be there. I'll prefer a cheap Kymco or a Gilera. (else sports bike will be my choice due to the brakes.)

Noobo7ogy. Congrats on ur license.

Go and have a look at Kymco scooters. There r quite a number of fairly new and reasonable price used 2B scooters at MotorSport.

Ever thought about getting the G-Max 200? It's not a bad bike and looks sporty as well. Good for short term or long term usage :)

I'd advise you to get a X8 or X9 200. They're about 10 years old now.

Or you can get a runner.

Don't get Kymco, because they don't have any power.

X9 is slightly more expensive to maintain, so try to look for one that has already been mod a little, such as pollini speed bell, clutch, speed control, rollers, brake discs/pads, exhaust, air-intake, etc...

And these things can definitely add power to your bike.

As for riding manual to practice for your 2A... don't worry. You can have lots and lots of practice at the training centre. Book more practice lessons after your third practical.
