hello lao jiaos..

need some advice

bike cannot start, i've checked the following:

1. tank got petrol

2. battery still strong

3. starter motor is working

4. spark plug got spark

5. fuel pump (i think) got suck

push start also cannot..

what else to check ah?

do u guys have any idea whats the problem?

how to check whether the fuel is entering the cylinders or not?

thanx a lot

what do you mean by fuel pump, got suck? Does your carb inside still have fuel? I don't know how to check if fuel is entering cylinders or not. But hopefully not CDI problem since it can caused ur bike not being able to start, or dieing halfway while riding.

juz like that? no need for bar ends?

By default, on stock cbr150, got bar end mah.. Unless you don't have bar end, then the vibration can be felt. If you tighten your steering cone liao still loose, then time to change it..

I also have the same problem... vibrating handlebars.. is it just normal?

not much of a solution. either got below or right above 7.5k RPM :p

Do u guys think using shell V-power on our bike is overkill?

if u r into performance, then go ahead. if it's just for normal riding, wouldn't 92 suffice?

if even push start doesnt do the trick, think we can isolate the issue from electrical components.

so it's prolly down to fuel or tuning.

fuel contaminated with water?

choke cable is accidentally pulled?

carb contaminated/choked?

guys. yesterday was riding at 6th gear at 6 rpm. suddenly it dropped to 1 rpm and then increase back to 6 rpm with some jerking. Is the clutch plates worn?

i suppose when clutch plates slip, the rpm shoots up cause of temporary disconnection between the 2 plates, i.e. as if u open throttle during neutral gear.

when was e last time u did servicing like changing spark plug?

how much does it cost to replace the clutch plates? wanna roughly know so will not kena chop~

er..just before u jump to conclusion that clutch plates are worn, maybe u can consider checking for other symptoms first?

hi guys. have any of you guys have problem with heavy vibration of the handlebars when your bike goes over 7500rpm? is yes pls give me a solution cos im on the verge of changing my beloved bike. thanks alot. any tested and proven bar ends? or methods that successfully reduce/eliminate the vibrations?

on a daily basis ride, its normal for this bike to vibrate (quite power vibration)

from 7k rpm - 9k rpm. well, i figure it out, its either u go further rpm (over 9k rpm)

or below 7k rpm to get rid of this problem, ie : if u con'd to ride with this vibration, eventually, ur coversets will crack, n TRUST ME, IT WILL CRACK!..

solution is, either u ride with the correct rpm OR, get a freeflow exhaust....the exhaust kills the vibration least 50 %, less vibration i predict, well, thats what happend to me..haha, mine had less vibration after i slip on the free flow exhaust...

my twenty cents,

Quite recent. close to 2 months ago. did servicing such as changing of spark plug, engine oil, valve clearance etc. so far i've experienced around 2 clutch slips.

emm. other symptoms such as?

which freeflow exhaust did you get?

Spark is firing so next logical step is to find out whether fuel is entering carb n cylinder or not.

Hmm but never opened 4stroke carb before.

Is it similar to 2stroke or is there any difference to take note of?

performance exhaust CF-V2

best aftermarket exhaust rite after the MORIWAKI for cbr150

ps: they dont have yoshimura for cbr150, indeed, the MORIWAKI japan r best for cbr150

this 1 im using is the CF-V2....performance wise...2 THUMBS UP!...

Carb is almost the same mah. You open up the carb and you will see the float chamber. Remove the float to see if there is any left over fuel.

if no presence of fuel, it suggest that fuel are not fed into the carb.

A picture of a carb being open up with the float:

* Above diagram is a NSR150 carb.. But roughly is the same for CBR150 carb. :cheeky:

I agree with Don on this matter. If clutch slip, rpm should rev higher instead of lower.

Is it possible for the SP to mis-spark for a second?

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

Have u tried push-start as suggested by Don? If push-start also cannot, i believe your problem is magnetic coil. CDI does not spoil easily, Will.

hmm if the magnet coil spoil, can the spark plug still fire?

because i've check the spark plug and it fires.

Coil spoil, spark plug will fire irregularly or not fire at all. Since your plug fire, couldn't be coil problem :D
