; i would to ask , is it normal for CBR 150 to have rough gear change, for gear 1 shift to 2 & 3 ? It's like when u shift up it will have that rough sound "grrrekk !" I don't know whether it's my way of shifting gear is wrong or really shifting is that way.

Change your engine oil to a better one. I use semi synthetic $15 varieties.

Personally.... when i first change EO... its not smooth... must let the engine oil heat up and expand when its new then it will "seat" in your engine nicely.... With the exception of maxima fully synthetic.... that one i whack till red line from the start very smooth liao.

Find out your own "smooth point".

hi guys,

do u guys sometimes encounter difficulties in kicking up ur gears...like a click in between when u up to e next gear...y ah???

thanks

Engine oil old already.... doesn't lube the gearbox as well...

Clutch plate worn already... hard to shift from 1-N-2-N.

For maximum smoothness, use fully synthetic engine oil and let it warm up nicely before riding off.

But is it possible that the gear got problem ? maybe wear and tear ? like the teeth wore off or smething . cause for me when i change the gear goes "greeekk !" very scary. But it only for shift frm 1-N-2-3 .. 4-5-6 ok lei.

Always try to rectify the cheapest way first... so the cheapest way would be to change engine oil and monitor first.... if problem goes away then good for you. If not then we can proceed to the next step....

Correct, since the bike is made in Thailand - all the parts can be found there, as to modified parts i think is is easier to find in Thiland asa well....

I love Saigon.......... wow it has been years since i hv been there - I am acutally planning a sales trip there sometime this year - 1 of my MY buddy have a sale operation there, it is a JV electrical part shop.

wow.

thanks for the recommendation.

i sure hope i can make a trip down to the shop you mentioned.

i like the carbon-fibre look chain guard.

any idea how do i work on the currency conversion?

according to http://coinmill.com/SGD_VND.html#SGD=100, singapore dollar $100 can fetch about 1603600 vietnam dong (VND).

the website gives price in k/c. how much VND does that translate to?

Bro, if eo just change still not smooth, possible ur clutch cable loose, just tighten @ ur left handle & spray some lube oil inside ur clutch cable..
