hey guys, i finally got my CBR 150!!! :cheer: :cheer:

went out for a few rides today liao, although feels kinda funny but alright lah, i'm satisfied for now!

love the humming sound by the engine when at low rev but the handling seems quite lightish though.

are there any other places to put the IU unit? putting it on the fuel tank looks super out of place i find. any better suggestions?

My IU unit is also placed on the plastic cover above the fuel tank but I believe it's mounted in a slightly better way that yours. It's not so upright. Will take pics soon and post them up.

no meh? i thought that's one of the original colors. haha. not tt sure also.

from far looks good but from near can see signs of an accident before. from what i found out is the previous previous owner had an accident before. the exhaust end can is badly scratched man, the rear fairings also have a bit of cracks. probably will use putty to mend it then paint over lor. if i am free enough lah. :cheer:

any aftermarket pipes for CBR150?

A new end can is only about $60-70 if I'm not wrong. Can get from LAB.

My guess is the bike has just been lowsided and not actually collided with anything. This is very common and even my bike has been down the road once. (hit an oil patch at PG)

Damage was to the brake master pump (replaced) end can (replaced) foot peg (replaced) and a tiny little area on the front upper RHS fairing. Having trouble finding this piece for a cheap price. =p

If you a bike such as this is in a real accident (impact) then then fairings will probably be replaced rather than repainted.

yeah, that's probably true man, maybe the bike just skidded or dropped by the previous owners. that will explain why my 2 side fairings are without the paintwork and just plain red.

so for CBR150, there's only 1 end can and that is the stock end can? is there an alternative? cuz i find the end can kinda huge for such a small bike. somthing slimmer will be nice.

oh ya, some more questions to ask.

where it the switch to control the fuel tank? as in there should be a switch to let us select fuel, reserve or stop?

for CBR150, there is no switch for us to flash the high beam right? i understand there is a high beam switch but that is to permanently select high beam. i am referring to those that when we press the switch, there's high beam, if we do not it won't have any effect. cuz my old bike has got 1 so i wan looking for it when i took over the bike.

is it possible to retrofit perhaps the NSR SP's left handle bar control panel onto the CBR?

Only 1 end can that's legal. There are alternatives available from Thailand that are really nice looking and make the bike sound fierce but the trouble is they're totally illegal here in Singapore.

The fuel tank doesn't have a reserve switch as it has a fuel gauge instead. Even when the gauge reads empty there will be 2-3L left in the tank so it's not likely that you will run out of fuel unless you really push things.

I've never really taken notice as to whether or not the CBR150 has a high beam "pass" (flash) button. I don't think so though. I think it should be pretty easy to fit the NSR LH handle control on if you really want to.

92 is fine as this is a relatively low compression engine.

The octane rating only relates to preignition in high comp engines. If you have a high performance (high comp) engine then you need a higher fuel octane rating.

Haven't translated the manual but if the 92 was too low you would experience "pinging" or preignition under engine loading which is rather easy to identify.

when i went to pump petrol in thailand, think it's esso, they only only RON 91 and 95. since i was riding cubs only i pump 91.
