hie guys..shamie here..

yesterday for the first tym, i saw the cbr150r..twice..1st tym i saw it i was like, whoa, nice sia..small, cute, and nice design..the 2nd tym i saw, i just had to try and sit on it..and i was like, oh my god..

i think i had fallen in love wit the cbr150r sey! it's small and it's a sports bike..i so like it man..:lovestruck:

cuz even though i'm quite tall, i have a skinny frame..so i guess that bike suits me better than the krr 150, which was the bike i had wanted for a long time..my frens even told me the krr150 is not suitable for me..but hey, still adore krr 150..only that right now cbr150r is my 1st choice and kr is 2nd..lol..

im still taking my license, half way thru..got evaluation before going on road..and currently im gathering info about bikes, esp abt the bikes tt i am hoping to get..

any one who's experienced can tell me where i can get cbr150r here in sg? most probably 2nd hand..hmm..at what price it's roughly going for and etc..thanks soo much for the information if u could share it wit me..:cheeky:

I'm a totally newbie to bikes. I'm going to take my TP test soon. So, have some bikes in mind now. And... CBR150 is one of my choices... What's the difference between the NSR150SP and this bike? Most importantly, is this bike 4-stroke?

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Hi. I just collected my new CBR 150 R from the bike shop this afternoon. I understand that under hire-purchase (installment plan with the shop), I don't get my COE and spare keys until I settle all my payment. I've got a couple of questions.

1) Is it compulsory to display the bike's road tax when on the road?

2) Is there such a thing as the shop holding on to the bike's road tax slip (the round piece of paper) while the bike is under hire purchase?

Thanks.

NSR 150 :

-2stroke bike

-sportbike

-more power (top speed can reach ard 180+++km/hr)

-requires 2T & 4T

-noisier

-carburettor gets dirty easily cos of 2T

-fuel consumption 18-26km/litre

CBR 150:

-4stroke bike

-sportbike outlook

-more acceleration (i duno y, cos my acceleration is always better as compared to my 2stroker friends. haha)

-only requires 4T

-quieter than NSR

-carburettor seldom requires servicing as compared to NSR (among my frens experience)

-fuel consumption 31-42km/litre (MORE ECONOMICAL!!!!)

hope im right. or at least got it quite close. Handling wise, personally i couldn't find any differences after trying my friends' bikes.. haha.. or mayb ozzarhomb can gif u better advices as he owned both bikes before. :goodluck:

Thanks.

1) it's not compulsory to display, but u must always have it with you while ur on ur bike just in case TP or ROV ask for it. mayb you can put it together wif ur keys, inside those small rectangular covers. tts wat i did btw.. or can just put inside the compartment under ur seat if u dun want to display it.

2)under hire purchase, i tink the shop only keep ur COE n the spare key. or the log card, i dun really noe.. haha.. but the road tax shld always b wif u, not the bikeshop.

anyways congrats on ur new bike. ride safely

Hi everyone. Just collected my CBR150 last Sat. Very happy and proud of it so far. But then, got one problem. When I take a pillion rider, the pillion and me keep sliding to the front until squashed. Any advice?

congrats on ur new bike.. haha, thats the thing about sports bike, the pillion seat is higher than the rider's seat.. it is not parallel to the ground like any road bikes or cubs.. so whenever u apply abit of brake, both u and ur pillion will confirm slide until squashed. what my pillion always do is to adjust themselves whenever we stop at traffic lights. so i dun tink tis problem can b fixed. i changed my pillion seat recently to those non-slip surfaces. it only reduced the problem, but not make it disappear fully :cheeky:

gratz! havent tried riding my bike with pilion yet so i cant comment. but i suppose your problem is unavoidable for sports bike.

almost had accident today along braddel road, right at the end going to lornie road.

before the traffic light below the flyover, theres a road work that force the vehicles from lane 1 to merge with lane 2. 2 cars ahead of me were in both lane. eventually someone have to give way to the other when the lane merged, but somehow no one was willing to. they continue with this and slows down to avoid collision eventually stopping...!:giddy:

its all happen quite quickly and i have to e-brake from about 80kmph. my rear wheel locked and my bike continue to glide forward. stopped about 1m from the rear bumpers!

have to practice my e-braking more, to use like 70-30 or 90-10 front-rear braking power. i think today i put 50-50 :giddy:
