Dear all:

RE: TOP OVERHAUL OF CBR150R ENGINE

Went down with Zed, ZR, and kenny to Everfit to get spares... In my case the engine is a goner already... on the way to the grave, It stalled for no reason while riding normally and can smell something burning after whacking 120km/h at 9000RPM. So i on budget ma, just do top end overhaul. Here is the list as follows:

Piston & Piston rings--> $42
Gasket top --> $10
Valve Seals ($3 per valve) $12
Valve Intake x2 --> $26
Valve exhaust x2 --> $42
Cam Chain --> $30
Tensioner guide x2 (The plastic thingy)--> $30
Tensioner push(???) --> $27
TOTAL DAMAGE add GST --> $234.33

Sourcing for bikeshop to do workmanship for me reasonably. Think will pay good ol' AH CHONG a visit at planet!!

In the meantime, will continue to ride the bike till it explodes/catches fire/or god forbid... piston seizure, then push to bike shop... Want to test the limits of the engine! Responsibly of cos... will try not to exceed 6.5k RPM.

Seeing that there is quite a number of new riders joining the club, including me, why not lets organize a gathering? This way, the old birds can also pass some knowledge of the bike to us new birds

Date: Next week Friday Night 03/04/2009

Time: 9pm onwards?

Place: Simpang Bedok eat roti prata or western

Sian is sian.. but the bottom line is the bike still can move, just smell something burning only... hee hee heee... I just slack rider all the way 60km/h.... lol

Then after reach carpark play burnout and wheelie... rev and throw clutch,play backfire... my bike sure sooner or later explode... then can start pushing to bike shop already...

DAmn it man.. i really need a scrambler!!

I think you really can get a scrambler... That time whitefang says u fly over hump at 60km/h.. lol... poor redfang...

actually have u guys ever found out frm the guys frm Everfit how much it would cost to get a full new set of fairing + fuel tank?

if my cbr125 header project falls thru, may wan to consider replacement of fairings + fuel tank. only 2 considerations: money + my repsol paintwork.

aiyo don....... wait till ur COE over lor... then buy CBR125.

i suggest not pushing it to the limit cos............ i think its already AT THE LIMIT. just like a diamond cutter in a piece of metal.... cutting thru liao..... just waiting for it to snap and break.

and since u got the parts liao... might as well just go do the overhaul.

HAhaa.. i always learn my lesson the hard way.. scully nex day u see me post: dear all, i no longer CBR rider, my bike beyond hope have to scrap cos it exploded... :cheeky:

i ever tried.

gear 1 = 13.5K

gear 2 = 13.5K

gear 3 = 13.5K

and master shifu derrick has taught me some character of our bikes.... but i think it depends on your bike one leh.. cos some of it he taught me didnt work.

i think different bike got different characteristics... even the engine will sound different....
