Hey, Guys,

A few weeks ago I went around checking for the price of the Honda ST1300, and here's what I found:

1. Boon Siew: 27k+, interests @6%, no panelty for early loan settlement

2. Mah Motor: 28k, parallel import

3. Looi's: 27k+ (agent's bike), interests @ 5%

4. Bike Production: 24.8k (agent's bike), interests @5%

(all quoted with comprehensive insurance)

I bought my previous bike from Looi's and had very good experience with them - very professional, up front, and no hidden charges anywhere. The price I paid for my last bike was also very competitive. I would love to buy another bike from Looi's again but clearly this time Bike Production is giving a better offer.

Has anyone bought a bike from Bike Production before and would like to share their experiences? I'm weary of hidden charges slapped onto you at the last minute. I've known a rider that bought a bike from another bike shop and on the day of bike collection was told to pay GST, because the price quoted earlier on didn't include GST. That was clearly a way to rip off the customer and I certainly don't look forward to a similar fate.

I read the apology posting with regards to Bike Production, but since the poster's earlier post was removed, I have no idea what transpired. I don't know if it was a case of misunderstanding, difficult customer, or bad service. Please feel free to private message me if you have something negative to say and is worried about the consequence. If you have positive things to say, well, all the more share it with the fellow riders on the forum.

Thanks, guys!

I do suggest Loois , but i think interest should be 4% .

Anyway , its best to write down any agreements & details down b4 signing the papers .

Maybe can try I-motoring or speedway . Leong seng is another good shop .

I believe he was looking for a ST1300 :cheeky: , man.

Enquiries:

Comprehensive insurance means the 1st party, right? If it is then the bike will be cheaper if one is to downgrade the insurance to, say, 3rd party fire and theft (assuming that the person is of 30 years of age and above)?

Bike Production quoted the price of a brand new STX or a used one? It is very cheap if it's a brand new machine, man!!

Hi,

I had bought 8 bikes from bike production, no problems at all. If you taking loan i believe there will be a $100 to $150 agreement fee. for the price he code you it is true. No matter wat all bike shops are out to do their business. Take which ever is cheaper.

And how much is the "excess" for all the above quoted comprehensive insurances?

Do make a comparison between them...

The lesser you pay for the insurance now, the more you'll need to fork out when the situation arise in future...

I believe the excess is the highest for insurance from bike shop number 4...

But I could be wrong on the other hand too...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

I bought by SW at Loois, even though Bike production charge $400 cheaper.

Reason is for the after service at Loois is good and some more can pay by GIRO which save much of a hassle for me. From the past post regarding BP, I read some bikers with problems with installment. (Eg can only pay cash or cheque). Thats where the argument might comes in.

But again if you decide to pay all up front, then go for BP.

Hey, Guys,

Thank for the advice. Indeed I was looking for the brand new Pan European 1300. I wish Looi's would lower its price, but I don't think that's going to happen. The $150 "admin fee" for loan is something that Bike Production didn't mention when I last asked them. As for the interest rate - thanks for the tip - I will reconfirm with the bike shop.

Thanks for all the advice!

Went to a bikeshop to enquire on STX 13 two weeks ago, the boss told me if I am not getting it urgently, then wait till sep when GTR 14 is launching. The price for STX 13 might be revised again. Just what happened when FJR13 was launched, STX price dropped afew $K.

This is what I heard, don't is it true or not. :cheeky:

Checked with M1 Motors earlier today. The price for a brand new STX is $27.5K OTR. While an FJR is $28.5K OTR as well. Seems that the price for STX is dropping.
