We should all write in to ICA and request for improvements to current checkpoint traffic woes.

The Improvments I am thinking of :

1. separate lanes for Singapore registered bikes. So wont jam together with the msian plates.

2. Add manpower to ensure smooth traffic flow round the clock. Else residents in Woodlands, Choa Chu Kang, Yew Tee and sometimes bukit Panjang are caught in the jam sometimes.

3. There should have some kind of metrics to measure their efficiencies.. eg ensure half hour max for vehicle to travel through.

4. More automated lanes for bikes

5. remove the ridiculous needs to remove helmet at the secondary check , when they were searching for cigarettes/contrabands

Its not whether we think it will work or not. But as its our citizenship rights to voice out when we see inefficiency in public services.

Also, have u guys ever wonder, when there was a cylist accident, there will be big hoohaa and even MP or minister will sometimes intervene.. Whereas there are so many daily motorcycle accidents yet no one cares. Its due to the"lobbying" voice louder from those cyclists.

We have to stand up and voice out .

Definitely ICA should set separate lanes for singaporean bikes , unless they can resolve these daily jams at checkpoints.

The main problem is ICA over emphasis on solving jam due to cars. They widen roads for cars, open ways for cars - to the extent of closing some bike lanes just to let car pass. Don't get me started on the small little lane heading to JB. What do they get in return? 3 or 4 stupid people ram pass them and make them lose face.

by the way, 2 more improvements -

1. Fix the #$#%^&*(* useless thumbprint machines. Never once is all fully functional. Always some spoilt. Please sack the contractors and call for some better contractors. How can so many failure at any time??

2. Have more police to patrol the roads leading to the checkpoints. a lot of kuku cars/buses don't seem to heck care and dash out. at least a few accidents had happened. But we ONLY see enforcement at where? NO WHERE!
