hi ppl

 

I am really really short... 152cm... n I like the DR 200 but seat too high. Can lower suspension ard 6-7 cm?

 

How will it affect the handling of the bike?

 

I thought short ppl got no chance but its chio lah so I try my luck and ask the experts at sgbikes... wat you think?

Without any modifications, you can try reducing the pre-load of your fork, and the rear shock. To do that, for the fork, is to reduce the length of the spacer within, and also clamp the fork lower; for the rear shock, just turn the rings. The pre-load settings are like fine-tuning to suit a particular rider's weight, if the settings are upset, it will have a negative effect on the ride.

 

If you are heavy, by reducing the pre-load substantially, you risk bottoming out the shocks when going over a road hump. And you can totally rule out riding off-road.

 

Do you really need to lower it by so much ? It's quite normal to tip-top on a scrambler.

haha..am only 155cm. yeah i would "soften" my rear shock(am only 45kg).worst come to worst i shave my seat form abit..

hello.. same frustration here..151cm 45kg...bike bigger,taller and heavier than me..Hope to get a bike asap after i passed.heheh

well.. best i to skim your seat.. might make the bike look like its for fmx. comfort of the bums will be compromised...

if i have to explain, you wouldn't understand...
