LTA's clamp down on bike customization: a reflection on stifled creativity in sg

LTA's clamp down on bike customization is a reflection on stifled creativity in sg.

Legality for safety's sake is welcomed, but legality imposed even on minor cosmetic customizations goes shows the current regime does not understand what is creativity.

Other modifications should also be allowed, as long as they are safe. If the intention is to clamp down on nuisance mods like loud kup-kia pikes are bright white beams, specific clamp downs should be enforced, not just an ALL-ROUND enforcement. An all-round enforcement is easy.. this is just laziness on LTA's part to see from the biker (and car) community's perspective.

If safety is the tune, LTA & TP can do useful things to improve road safety immediately, such as re-starting fines on failure to signal in the 70-80s.

In order for creativity to thrive in sg, we must have base platforms on which creative communities can grow and thrive.

Bike customization is one such creative platform. Where individuals can express their creativity. Unfortunately for us bikers, our creativity is being stifled by the government.

If you agree, up this thread. And share ways we can circumvent this clumsy enforcement.

I'd have to agree with you on this.

But isn't any type of creativity being stifled by the gahmen o.O?

Enforcement should be one for all and all for one, same standards. don be surprised one day you will see a kup-kia with Harley engine roaming Singapore streets and can pass through road blocks smoothlllly. That's my concern right now double strandards. Imagine the amount of money we paid on our bikes we can easily buy 2 to 3 same model as what we are riding now sometimes I really hope LTA would let me ride Malaysian bike, I am more then willing to pay VEP cos by paying $4 everyday is still cheaper not to mentioned patrol plus bonus you can mod like crazy and don have to worry about road blocks.
