the price looks ok to me but my current financial status allows me to choose either one of the following only:

i. a laser/akra pipe with PC3 and air filter

ii. a dainese suit with back protector

sigh....

so are u confirm getting the laser?

anyway i think whether u order 1 set or 2 sets, the price different is not that significant isnt it...

show off to us once u put on the pipe! :cheer:

cons of Laser Extreme.. only comes in INOX(stainless steel). may not get weight savings over the original exhaust..

haiz i still scraping $$$, no money to buy either. but if i may humby say so, if i were you i'd get the suit, coz i can go PG without an after-market pipe, but i cant (and wont) go PG without a proper suit.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

thats exactly wat im thinking!

in fact, i realised that 600 is not as powerful as i thought...

so, most probably will upgrade to 1000 after a year or two...

hah?

well i donno.... to each his own i guess.....

personally i feel the power of the 600RR is more than i ever use. i mean, if 99% of the time i cruise 6th gear at no more than 7k rpm, it shows that a large part of the power i am not using at all. especially when its peak power at 13k rpm.

what i would like though, is more torque. this thing the launch definitely i can do with more of. below 7k rpm the engine realli has no 'oomf'. but those times i find a quite clear straight road and i drag the 1st gear till past 10k rpm, holy cow this bike rocks!!! i really regret that opportunities to ride at 10k rpm is few and far between. and thats just 1st gear. 10k rpm in 3rd gear onwards probably never. not on local roads. up north i go then.....

so first i'd like to fix rear sprockets with 2 more teeth; that should give me some more torque. if i ever get a pipe in future i'll dyno it for more torque at the bottom. but honestly the pipe (and PC) is probably one of the last items to go on my bike.

well can upgrade of coz. but i so in love wif this bike i wanna keep this long term and slowly transform it into something realli special and unique.

man, realli ah, 600RR brothers will know, let the needle hit the magic 10k mark and woo-hoo-hooooo.......!!!

just curious, has anybody popped a wheelie off the throttle in 1st gear by dragging to 7k rpm then quickly closing and opening throttle?

i dam tempted but to be honest scared shitless of the consequences of something going wrong, especially if in a panic i go shut off throttle instead of stepping rear brake to end the wheelie and then set off a violent tank slap when the front end lands.

PS: safety preachers may read elsewhere.

I accidentally pop once while i change from 2nd gear to 3rd gear at about 8-9k rpm. Probably because i got a pillion with me and i was still unfamiliar with the clutch.

Got a shock too :giddy:

yah i completely agree.

if i didn know such a bike existed and if one zoomed past me quickly on the road, i would have sworn it was a 600RR that i had seen. so much so that if anybody tell me i mistaken, my reply would be "halo! i ride 600rr u think i donno one when i see one ah?"

Hi bois,

My fork seal is leaking. Anyone knows how much to change a pair? I heard the seal is cheap, only the workmanship is expensive. Comments.

Do u guys have any idea how much is the ohlins steering damper with bracket?

Posted

someone selling a 2nd hand one at Garage sales for $350. But i think you might need to get a suitable bracket for our bikes. Brand new would cost $600-$800 price range i would guess,
