Hi bois,

My fork seal is leaking. Anyone knows how much to change a pair? I heard the seal is cheap, only the workmanship is expensive. Comments.

No idea how much is it to change the seals. But it's true that the seal is cheap and the worksmanship otherwise. It's a tedious job to remove front wheel, fork, etc

eh do u all diy tightening the chain? if yes, the last part in the manual about tightening to the specified torque, how i gauge manually? turn really hard, or turn until cannot turn then stop etc? or the specified torque not very important at all?

too much fun revving the tits off my bike during launch, now can tell the chain a little looser than before :cheeky:

oh and one other thing.

does anybody know if our shift light is adjustable? the manual says the shift light comes on when we redline, which is pretty dam stupid and useless. if possible i wanna adjust it to come on at the bike's peak power of 13k rpm. thats what a shift light is for.

Hi bro,

If you follow the specified torque,

the rear bearing and the cone won't spoilt easily.

Some time for kiasu reason we intend to

overtighten the nut may cause the cone to sink in.

For safety purpose, after you tighten the nut.

Take a marker, mark the position of the nut inline

with the swingarm so at one glance you know that

the nut never come loose.

Just give my point of view.

Any other .........................................

Thanks

Hi bro.

but how do i noe if i'm applying the correct torque if i'm doing it manually? thats wat i'm worried about. or shd i be doing it strictly at the shop where they have the proper tools?

and well its not a shift light per se, its the light marked 'rev' which blinks when u redline. other bikes i see is a 'shift' light which blinks when u hit the peak power rpm level, thats why i wondering if i can change my rev light to blink at 13k rpm instead of 15k. the 03/04 model doesn even have this 'rev' light?

You have to have a torque wrench to know how correct the pressure you applied. If you're doing it manually, just tighten tight will be good enough. Most shops don't even use a wrench when tightening chains so it's all right. Correct torque would apply best when you tighten engine screws eg crankcase/crankcase cover/ generator cover/ piston.

03/04 model no hap rev light. I've never seen my meter jump after rpm 13.5 so I bet it doesn't even blink.

Anyone can tell me how good is the stock BT012 is? When i took over my bike, it's with Dragon Evo & it's almost that time again now... thinking of changing to stock but heard the compund for Battlax tyres does not last long. After a certain time, you will start to feel tire skid when you corner

Don't bother about stock tires if u want grip. Most bikes comes with harder compound tyres in stock.

try BT014.. if u are not a hardcore trackie, it will do u good.. not that expensive too..

give u mileage n allow u to hav fun sometimes..

i think wat u heard is them compare bt014 with tires like rs2, michelin pilot power, supercorsa.. bt014 is not in the same category as them.. its more of a sport touring tyre

As for stock BT012, i use it in PG b4.. im quite satisfy with it..

but i dun have a fast timing so mayb i feel it ok with it

Broke after getting this bike, now saving up for a better full face then slowly think of PC3 and suit for track......damn, still need so much money. Steering damper is not on the list at the near future.

U getting it? Do post a review if u buy it!
