Hey guys how are you all.. Dropping to ask questions regarding PC3 mapping. Anyone know whther we can download map and send the map to PC3? or is it better to do custom mapping? Expertess please advice. TQVM!

custom mappings are always the best. but if you want to save some $$, just download from the web can use it.

if the setting on the web does not suit your bike, then go custom map lor.

custom map means send ur bike to dyno lor.

of course that is the best because not all cbr600 are the same.

The FAZER(1000) bearing the plate : FX 8** # & FZ **** #

 

The CBR 600 bearing plate : FS 2* S

hello,i just bought my cbr600 2011 last few days only. how to run in more faster? the dealer ask me to run in for 500km then change black oil and told me not to run faster then 80. Is there anything i have to change my spare parts?

Welcome to the cbr family... once again.. this is the FAQ for all new cbr rider...

I am glad to share with u that we have the same qus and ans starting from page 200 of this thread.

 

Well again i will still share with u the run in process.

 

1st - if u wan to run in on ur own u shld have the boon siew warranty card to tell u how much is suitable to run in. To entitle for boon siew warrenty from 2009 boon siew only cover the 1yr warrenty if u r going back to them to service within that yr. If u do not go back to service with them than if any machince fault happen to ur bike boon siew will not cover. If u r not too sure ask boon siew or u can ask me or dafansu.

 

2nd - the easiest option send for dyno hard run in (good anot depend on rider) ask bike shop like HKL and etc.. for more inform.

 

3rd - if u run in on ur own.. advice is maintain within 5rpm, riding below 100km (up to gear 6) but all these is depend on rider and feedback on others. The process of self run in is very slow and tiring... sometime lorry, taxi and van are even faster than u.

 

500km or 800km - change mineral oil (1st change)

1500km (if u choose 500km) or 1800km(if u choose 800km) - change mineral (2nd change)

2500km - change mineral oil or semi syn EO (3rd change)

3500km (depend on rider) - Semi syn EO (4th charge)

5000km - full syn EO + all the servicing (oil filter, air filter and etc...)

I call the 5000km as the 1st stage of run in DONE, meaning u can start to go on higher RPM and speed.

 

Stock bike is always the best for 1st yr of riding... just make sure wat u need to change during servicing is there can liao.. will advice buy a slider for ur bike.. cause there are always unforseen case happening..

Snow meaning that my speed can dun hit 100 can already? Cos the bike shop told me not to hit over 80 i was like wat the! And is like veri slow i dun knoe y. even my spark 135 more faster!

bloodtears - i am just joking abt the brothers thingy.. i know 2 of them...

 

well price wise it depend on bikeshop.. and also depend on wat u change.. according to dafansu.. price is not much different from bikeshop vs boon siew.. so if u got time than go boon siew change.

 

slider cost about $75 a pair incl install. Pls note that there is no way not to CUT ur fairing... dont ask the qus whether got non cut anot.. unless u change to 08 fairing... it is painful to see it cut but it will be less painful when u see ur bike drop and damage the fairing...

 

as for speed as i mantion it really depend on rider... i personally did that at 100km for the till 2500km... but after that i cant really be bother as i travel alot of expressway + with pillion so i went abt 120km. I guess more on high rev play a part more then the speed.. i can mantian at 100km but my rpm only 5-6.. some of my fren go at 100km but rpm 7-8 liao...

 

To be frank all our bike have already high rev by honda before it is exported out for sale.. it is because they need to QC whether the engine can take it anot... they just make the rider feel better that the engine is brand new and we need to do RUN IN!!! It is kind of crap when u think abt it...
