Hi Bros,

Do we need to display HDB parking tag and roadtax on bike? I see a lot of bikes in my carpark that does not display them. Just want to make sure if that is legal?

RFID for season parking can be safely kept under the seat or in the bike's box. The enforcement officer uses a device that can detect the RFID, and even if it fails to detect, once he/she keys your plate number into the system, it will indicate that you have season parking.

Road tax is up to you. I keep it under the seat also.

ok, sounds like pretty common to keep both roadtax and hdb parking rfid in the box

By displaying, it is actually helping the warden to speed up their work. Scan and go, thats it. Plus if their machine cannot go online, they cannot check your season record via your number plate too. So in the end, they may just summon first, talk later. Then you have 1 more work of appealing. That what I feel.

Having said these, I do not display my road tax or season pass too

Actually there may be one flaw in your thought I think, if they can't go online to check, they can't go online to summon also. Hehehehhehe.

I don't even know where is my road tax. Should be somewhere in one of my files. Hidden.. Same goes with my RFID tag.

I renewed my road tax about a month ago, the agent at the NTUC income accidentally crossed out the wrong date, so she say will send me a new one.

Now's the problem, I totally forgot if the updated road tax was sent to my place or not. Bad memory. But it's definitely not on my bike cause it's showing the expired one. Anyone requested a new disc from LTA before? Do they charge us money for reissue?

It is good but not a must to display road tax or season parking.

If u notice some bikes in your carpark don't display anything at all.

If you get ticketed, just be prepared for the hassle to write in to explain you have paid your dues.
