windshield break into pieces (act of mischief) what to do?

hi all ,

sorry first time encounter this situation... One fine day , I went down to collect the bike and shock to see my wind shield break into several pieces. it is an open car park...No sign of dents or scratches at both side of the scooter....I really dun believe is an hit and run ... And I had been parking in that area for past 5 years with no incidents occurring. What to do now ? thank in advance for the advices....

The first thing is take photo and lodge police report, but I doubt the police can do much, all they can say is most probably act of vandalism as I assume there is no clue left for police to trace.

Make a police report. They might increase patrol in your area or install CCTV.

Maybe the shield is old, with the constant cold and hot expansion and contraction, it just LET IT GOOOO!! Let it gooo!

Old also won't break into several pieces overnight.

 

At most crack like lightning bolt pattern but still in one piece.
