:cheeky: I see. Thanks.

One more thing, I just check my battery condition, realise that 2 cells have dried up, do you think it's better to change a new battery or just top up with battery water? The battery is more than 1.5 yrs old. The voltage level is about 12.4v when engine is off.

If get new battery, where to get at resonable price and what to get, Dry cell, Wet cell or MF cell?

normally batt life is about 1 to 1.5 yrs. ur batt few cell already dry up, if u try to fill it up again and charge it, it might not hold charges. its better to change it.

normally wet cell will last longer if u maintain it. check batt water level at least every 2 months.

if u r lazy to check on the batt water level, dry cell (maintainance free (MF)) batt will be ur chioce. best to use made in Japan yuasa or FB.

hope it helps. :cheeky:

Hi X8ers, hope you guys had fun during the party. Hope you guys will give your sincere comments and feedback so we can have a better and bigger party next time round.

Special thanks to Fatboy71 for his solid effort in helping me in planning out and executing this event. Kimi and Recon for making phone calls to member that is not forum members. Beachboyzsg for being our photographer. ScorpionX8 for liaising with the caterer and the cleaning up. And the rest of you guys for turning up.

The reason I choose the cafe is bcos of the venue, the possibility of parking our lovely scoots in the enclave of the courtyard which make it possible for the scoots to be part of the party :riding:

Also a BIG THANK YOU to our Main Sponsor, Piaggio Asia Pacific for the F&B and subsidising the X8ers polo t-shirt and recognising our club

To all the co sponsors; ASPhoon, Future Scootering, Havok AD, RevTec and Tai Hin for their support to the party. Its a last minute request but they are still Kind enough to sponsor us.

Hi bro,

So sorry you are feeling frustrated with your bike performance. I think you should let PSC have a look at it. I think Piaggio claims X8's top speed is about 120 km/h.

So, given the conditions you described, there must be something wrong. If your bike still under warranty, I strongly recommend you bring it to PSC to solve the problem.

If not, then there are the few scootering shops around that sure can help find out why.

Call me at 98577961 or PM or email. We can perhaps meetup to go to see scooter doctors this Saturday?

yo sis & bros!

i m a vivid follower of SBF X8 for the past 2+ mths cos' i wanted to buy 1 and finally i got mine (2nd hand 1 frm Ban Hon) on tis Monday. :cheeky: however i was't too please wif my no. plate (the numbers not very nice.... at least tat's how i look at it) which i intend to change 1. I hv searched the classified here but the no. seem to be a bit limit. wondering any kind soul could suggest where else i can look for and wat's the procedure to go abt changing it and cost how much?

another thing: i been riding for the past 3 days and clock abt 300km so far, i still smelt the burning smell when i parked. I hv asked Ban Hon mechanic but he said is normal cos the bike has been stationed a while and only now the engine running again..... the same goes to my engine starter which i nid to start a few times and long press as well. Ban Hon's mechanic claimed the battery is new and that's normal for a bike that has been stationed a while. isit true? any 1 could advise?

Tks!

Hi wlning, welcome to the X8 cafe  its best that u have a thorough check on your scoot before the waranty from the shop expires. Usually they give u 30days waranty i suppose. U can meet us up so we can help to check out wats wrong wif your scoot

understand that MF battery have ytx12 and ytx14 (all 12AH) which ytx14 able to store more power than ytx12.

So what is the AH for top up battery water type? also 12AH or 10AH? and does it have those type like the ytx14 that can store more power?

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow
