Kenny,

A question for you.

I want to install a audio system for X8.

Dont want to custom made additional housing to mount the speakers

I still need the space underneath the seat for my laptop bag and the box for my 2 helmets so only option left is the boot for the system.

Kindly advise how can you get it done.

Thanks.

Hey guys

after much waiting and delayed i have finally gotten my x8 today.. yeah..

and was struggling to come back home in about 60 - 70 km/h

However i have a few questions:

Is it normally to have a sort of burning smell? Got this smell for a while

I got a pece of rubber thingy that drop on the floor when i reach my place, pushing down the side stand, is this the stand impact softeneer as mention in earlier posting.

those with the bike cover, anyone experience burning or melting of the bike cover on their exhaust? this happened to my phtantom so i am quite worried that the same might happened on my new bike.

On the manual, i read that there is engine and hub oil? Whats hub oil.?

Is future scootering open on saturday and till what time? Wanna go and fixed this heavier balancer recommended by bro andy, as i do pllion and ahve a bit of load.

Lastly, those who pillion? How do you get your pillion to get on the bike. Perhaps we were a bit huge in size, kekeke. my gf was stuck on trying to board the bike hahahaa.....

Hope someone can enlightened me here

Thanks

Hey Marcus finally the DAY has come for you and your scoot to be together :cheer: to answer your qns (someone ps correct me if I'm wrong  )

1. The first week your exhaust will give out the burning metal smell

2. That rubber thing you should go back to PSC and they will fix it back for you. Mine drop off twice but now its ok

3. Be careful when you are putting yourbike cover especially when the exhaust is hot as 1 of the X8ers has experienced.

4. Im not sure wat is Hub oil either, sorry maybe when u find out can share wif us

5. Future scootering is open on sat till 8pm i guess. Kenny is out of town this weekend but you can look for Elton or their capable mechanics

6. My pillion climb up using the pillion's footrest, like mounting up a horse

Hope tis helps :cheeky:

Hey VaraStormer, welcome to X8ers Cafe. Hope you join the scoot community soon  I try my best to answer your queries

1. During the running in period its advisable to stick to the recommended running in speed. I think Kenny has detailed it in the X9 cafe. I never really stick to it as i can be quite impatient especially on highways. As long as you don strain the engine then it shld be alrite

2. The FC for X8 can range fr 22 - 28 km/l for mine now is abt 25km/l but it will fluctuate higher or lower.

3. Yes X8 can install GPR exhaust, Im tempted to but lack of fund. waiting for Kenny to sponsor me

4. I think Kenny can answer you better on this but he's out of town this weekend. He will be back at his shop on Monday, maybe you would like to call on him.

Maybe you would like to read the earlier postings on this thread wrt the deals some X8ers are getting fr some shops.

Btw we are havin a meet up on the 7th,maybe you would like to drop by :cheeky:

Hi marcus,

About the voltmeter,to me thats the good position 2 put as u can c ur all meters at the same time.Putting at the side wont be that good as for x8 our front visor seems to be low compare 2 x9 which got space.

Btw im e one wearing e black polo tee sitting down.(if u notice me.haha)

For e pricing will PM u e infos....
