wah.. now i know the REAL business singapore bike shops are into.. selling bikes is probably juz a cover-up.. anyway i hate bike shops to the core one.. i onli bought once from shop and i clear full payment after saving for 2yrs..

Best thing now Our Handphone now got Recorder mah. When asking them about the quotation, just ON it and put the Handphone face down on the table like action you put there lah while listening to him. Just in case he talk **** after everything settles, The recorded time and date will be the strong point to win if he kanina sues u.

sorry ah... a bit outta topic but can i ask under what circumstances can a guarantor be sued? let's say the hirer(not bankrupt) chao kuan dun wanna pay not no money pay.

most crucial step is to bring someone who is knowledgable in calculation and breakdown of price. best if ur fren noes the bikeshop owner.

 

but still people when eager...like my fren got his r6 for 28k otr where he traded in his k4 600. he discovered later upon reaching home and made the calculation. suck thumb liao...

If taking finance must do homework, calculate, ask for breakdown,

reconfirm then sign... right?

 

I don't mean to take sides but this should be the practice in everything

this shop full of bengs... they ask me to sign alot of documents but i try to ask more about the details, they not happy...show gangster act. i swear to god this is the way they treat me.

and i say consider and ask him to return my documents, he tear in front of me.

thx 4 the tip lol, when buying a bike id prolly bring >3 friends along , bring my own paper,pen,calculator and take my own sweet time calculating every detail and testing a bike b4 even bothering to sign anything

Brothers & sisters, please remember that Hire Purchase agreement CANNOT be filled in cos it'll be filled in via computer (ms excel). What you can do is read it over & over... Its legal to charge early settlement fees as it is stated in the H/P agreement but you can ask the sales person on how much this amount be or the formula to calculate & ask him/her to write in down on the sales agreement form & sign...

 

Deposit placed should be given a receipt & please (must) request for one if not given... Nobody ain't gonna help u take care of your cash if u dun...

 

Letters to be signed during purchasing a new bike,

COE bidding letter,

LTA form,

Sales agreement form,

Hire Purchase Form,

IU Unit form, (some companies dun hav this form)

 

If u hav been asked to pay a transfer fees, this means tat the COE has already been bought & u're paying to transfer to e COE to your name.

 

Remember to ask the current price for COE (ahem, ahem).

Low they throw remaining $$ to bike...

If high, u pay e difference... Fair this way to both parties...

 

Please post any questions regarding this issue... I'll answer to the best of my knowledge...

hi bro,juz now orso i kena con, on sun my bike got repo bcoz i got overdue instalment due to unemployment,i park under block conceal orso they can repo,so juz nw i went to pay my instalment, skali the shop(VERY INFAMOUS) ketok me ah,when i called in the morning the finance said i have to pay 717 including repo and interest,FYI my instalment is 100+ X 3years,but when i got there,they ask me pay 735, i ask for official breakdown of the amount but they gave me hand written calculation on a piece of scrap paper instead, on top of that, i need another guarantor,luckily my wife was wit me and she guarantored for me.The thing is, why couldn't they give an official printed breakdown of the amount, futhermore they claimed dat they sent out a notice to pay the overdue amt by registered mail but i never receive anything,even if im not at home surely the postman will slip a delivery note at my door,even when i ask for a letter saying my bike was repo, so i can show lta for late inspaction they simply refuse. they dun even have an email add so i can feedback and inquire wit their finance,and lastly they charge me 220 for repo fee! how absurd repo a kapchai cost 220,they think money grows on tree ah. my fault not paying promptly, but 220 for towing a honda wave? So u guys better be careful of where u hire purchase yr bike!. i shall not disclose the shop name, later they sue me,haha.. 700+ gone juz like dat. The amount i can buy for my toddlers 1 year supply of milk powder siak..
