Well I did go to jb recently to change my rims and install an oversized disk brake on my bike.. For servicing.. juz in Sillypore will do fine~

 

Bout the outing, i'm kinda a noobie on tis, no xperience at all lahh.. any1 here xperienced enuf to the 'organizing thingy'??

Btw xiaozai, i went a few shops along da agl to ask 4 a specific part for friend.. b4 'docking' my bike to SPR Rame*h shop just to patch a tiny irritating hole @ my rear tyre..

Haha good plugs i must say, did increased my pickup & topspeed slightly..

Sadly now nt using due to too much fouling on da plug.(nt da plug's fault but my fuel/air mixture on my carb abit ****-up lahh..)

I think the A0R10LGS are too 'cold' for my bike also~

Harloz, welcome to our 'humble & quiet' Sonic club Bro! and also to SBF too! Yeah even my bike topspeed, tho nt so stock now anymore:cool:, can onli reach bout 130kph.. I guess it is due to 'restriction' of da stock CDIs tht we are using lahh..

my bike the box i install high cause last time got put custom rear suspension

now i remove for good cause travel too short

now travelling time i keeps wobbling.

went to shop tighten b4 but still shakes

worried cause got see ppl boxes drop while travelling.

Which part of ur box is shaking bro??

The Rack? Baseplate? Or the Box itself??

oh the box wobble front / back like that. bad during hard acceleration.

i abused the box bad.

damaged a parking gantry with it. (goodness gantry nv hit my back)

skid and fell, with the box scratch floor 2 - 3 times over 5 years

Haha boxes are made to withstand abuse~ So as long as still can use, no problem then~

 

Well, i can summarise da solutions for ur problems as follows:

 

x= Shaking

0= nt shaking

|||||Box|||||Baseplate|||||Rack

1.----x----------0-----------0 --- Might due to box 'docking' mechanism to baseplate spoil

2.----x----------x-----------0 --- Might due to baseplate nt secured/tighten properly to rack

3.----0----------0-----------x --- Might due to rack nt suitable for Sonic(since u said original taken out frm ur phantom) Or it is nt secured/mounted properly onto ur bike

 

Solution to no. 1 - Bo pian.. either u change to a new box/repair at ur box agent or still keep using it..

" "no. 2 - Just DIY and tighten the nuts&bolts of ur baseplate to rack

" "no. 3 - Change to a suitable rack for Sonic like the rack im using which is mounted on my 'pillion' handle bar points(i dunno the brand sorry:cheeky:) or just ask ur mech to tighten them properly for you.

only sent to sin boon to mod, to allow suspension canister to be installed.

 

the mech tightened the baseplate b4.

haiz. i think got money then go install another one.

bolts are rusting already also.

notice on my pic the box is rather high installed.

 

think looks odd and not aerodynamic. hahas@!

Oic... wut suspension ur using now?? YSS?? Gazi?? Any better than stock as in absorb shock better, corner better??

last time buy YSS from thailand, comes with the canister

 

riding is very smooth.

cant quite tell the diff in cornering leh

 

the spring travel too short. go over hump kns when pillon ppls

always can feel the shock hit the ends. very bad feeling

but one person ride, just flies off the hump. lol

 

LTA inspection give convenience pass, ask me faster change back.

btw the canister i can only install on the pillon handle,

So u buy urs direct from thailand? Darn... Actually im trying to find a shop here in SG that sells the YSS shocks but to no avail lah... I wonder if sonic can fix CBR150/NSR SP YSS shocks cos most shop i ask have stock for them.

try ask ah boy there got sell anot?

or else look see some motor shops they do go purchase in thailand for u

for a premium i think.

 

do go measure cbr150 see whether can use anot. cause our bike and cbr150 is almost the same. frame and other parts diff only? underbone vs. conventional? lol
