This new model from Yamaha will be the killer machine for Suzy v-strom 1000 abs, Honda vfr 800x or Kawa versys1000. The reviews on this machine made me cancelled my dream for the bikes that I mentioned. Now I prefer to wait for Hong Leong to bring in and announce the machine price which I hope can make Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki agents nervous. Be patient and you never know it is value for your hard earned dollars .....

Europe Side is launching on Feb ' 2015 while U.S Side has already launched it. The reviews so far has been positive for the snatchy throttle & soft suspension issues which the naked MT-09 has.

 

It should reach our shores, best effort around March ' 2015, by April ~ May 2015; it should reach most local shops for purchasing. Oh ya, HL said they might not bring in the race-blu model, as it is particular only for the UK market. So maybe we will only get the Grey / Red. Unless P.I like Loois import the Race Blu model.

 

A price comparison for your interest.

 

£6949 / SGD$15,900 (MT09)

£7999 / SGD$16,500 (FZ8S)

£6999 / SGD$15,900 (FZ8N)

£9799 / SGD$18,600 (FZ1S)

£9199 / SGD$18,000 (FZ1N)

 

FJ09 £8169

(prices are based on Yamaha UK official pricing MSRP and HLC pricing from facebook)

 

So, it should be roughly in the bracket of $16,500 ~ $17,000 for machine price excluding COE / insurance. This is not considering the mark up price shop will try to carrot if it is a demanding model.

 

taking into current COE price $17,000 + $4,369 = $21,369 ~ $22,000 for the machine price, I guess.

I look forward as the 'Adventure' type motorcycle now getting popular among riders. Oh man, I want the blue /silver colours... The red not so nice... But I think they will bring in the black as that colour easy to sell

The grey color is a safe color. red is more a subjective color to some.

 

Race Blu, depends on whether HL / parallel importer will bring them in or not.

 

I think the Race Blu looks good too!

the accessories are mostly the common ones which every bikes can use.

 

some of the more specific parts like slider / crashbar are shared with the naked brother mt09.

Yeah I'm interested in the crash bar... Kifakw, how u know the crash bar from mt 09 will fit the tracer? Any article I can read up?

I'm just making a guess, since the website put them up for sale I'm guessing its from fz09.

 

Besides they're sharing the same engine and frame except the rear subframe which is new and modified to accomodate the extra comfort and extra load.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Yamaha FZ-09, which uses the same engine and frame as the new FJ-09.

 

The subframe was increased by 130.6 mm to make room for the new seat, which now is split for rider and passenger.

Juz happen to see this bike...... was tinkin abt getting the new 2015 VFR800X Crossrunner.

 

When I look at the styling of this bike and its reviews and lower price than the Honda......

 

So tempted......
