Ytd after finishing work, i was travelling at ECP toward changi. At the rochor exit juz b4 the bridge,i saw one police van stopping at the shoulder with lights all off.

I was wondering at first wat van would stop at the shoulder at 5 plus in the morning. It took me quite near to realise it was a police van.The speed limit of tat stretch is 70.I was doing ard 90 before tat stretch n after passing the sign of 70 i was doing ard 80 to 80 plus.

Here's the question to everybody.Anyone saw the van there.Do u all tink its mobile speed cam inside or the TP was ambushing elsewhere???

most likely is speed cam

Tat stretch is a 4 or 5 lane highway if i din remember wrong n the speed limit is only 70.So i believe to most or rather many vehicles, to travel 70 at this stretch might seems a little bit of snail. Thus i reckon most vehicles wil travel ard 80 plus to 90 in my opinion.

If it is reali speed cam or ambush, then they wil really have a good time collecting the fines n going back HQ smiling sia.

all lights switch off somemore and park at road shoulder?

wad they are doing is against wad they are preaching then...that they dun ambush lah, and will make sure people is aware they are there (with hazards and wad not lights they have turned on).

The other day about 5+pm i saw a police van parked along lentor ave under the SLE bridge in the direction of Yishun. The rear hatch was open and mr. policeman was sitting inside with his speedcam aimed at traffic coming up from amk.

But wat i saw is the like the whole vehicle without any lights on n the rear hatch was closed.Somemore its after a bend then can c the van, like a blindspot. Those doin 100 plus on tat stretch only can say good luck to them if its reali a speed cam.

I duno la.I saying if its a speed cam then many pple, including myself wil kana though i onli excess 10 to 10plus km/hr tat time.Tis kind of speed cam oso hv reali makes driving in spore veri veri stressful.

Don't worry, they should be just parking there to 'warn' motorist.

Last month I saw an unlighted police van and their subaru car stopping at the end of Changi Costal Road in front of the airport gates around 3am. Was overspeed by quite a margin from the limits, :cheeky: , only manage to slow down within 100m away from them.

Heng heng up till now no letters...
