Just bought used bike. LTA transfer not done and Insurance document not given

Hi, I just bought a used bike. Paid deposit last week and came today to collect bike today but was told my IC that still withheld because havent do LTA transfer, also insurance document not given. He say Monday than i can come collect.

 

Can i ride the bike now?

You buy insurance first then OK. Otherwise no.

To do a transfer, you need the following documents.

Insurance is needed.

 

You'll read in the bottom that within 7 days the current registered owner or the person/company taking possession of the vehicle must effect a transfer.

 

FYI, I diy transfer everytime I change bike. Half day settled with all document (valid insurance, transfer form) completed.

Now a days you can buy insurance online. its just a few steps and done. transfer also is very fast at LTA, will be over in few minutes. Please dont take chances coz if get caught driving without insurance/transfer then license will be suspended/revoked. Stay safe.
