If i can still remember correctly... the idling rpm for RS125 should be slightly more than 1000rpm. But it would be most accurate to listen to the sound.

The battery charging will probably cost the same at around $5, haha but when your battery flat until jialat you need to tow the bike liao - thats more than just $5 - really, before i took the battery out to charge, the batt was flat until i couldnt even sound the horn haha

yeah i did on my YBR last time.... when i open up to investigate.. i found out it was some white stuff on the battery contact point... clean it away and resecure the wire and it was good to go.... but everyday must ride, else will go flat.... battery was old already.

Shock yourself is nvm but dun wait fuse the whole bike then you have to go trace which fuse blow then its worst. For bike electrical thing i see already also sianz... difficult to track.
