hi would like to ask all people who have changed to sport rims...

 

does the bike handle shake when ridden free hand? coz mine is shakin n i tink the sport rims r screwed up...sad thing is tat i actually jus changed it n not becoz of wear n tear...

 

is there any way rectify tis? maybe balancing? but i heard that wave sport rims cannot be balanced...would like to hear some of your opinions...

Hi Clef..

 

If ur Wave is not brand new or even if it is,it could be possibly dat ur cone bearings haf worn out thus causing the rattling when riding freehand.Alternatively u can try using a heavier balancer other then stock wans or another investment will be improving ur handling by using a damper..Wave is too light on weight thus it's inevitable dat it'll rattles,like all of us experiences..Regards.

nope my wave is definitely not brand new...haha in fact its one of the oldest 125s in singapore...FU plate...

 

the cone bearing is a bit spoil coz i hear the "tock" sound when i press the fork down intentionally...

 

by the way can the wave sport rims be balanced?as in paste the weights on the rims to balance it??

it shldnt haf anything worng for your rims la it shld be the cone bearings..check it out @ the nearest workshop,dude.Regards.

depends on ur preferance..if u wan wider tyres ur rim must oso change 2 wider type..Eg: front rim-1.4 to 1.6 rear rim-1.6 to 1.85 tyre wise front can use 80/80 or 70/80 rear use 90/80 or 80/80 respectively....jus make sure front is smaller den rear can liao.. ya n TT900 gt 2 model..Thai or Jap..bt normally ppl get is Thai 1..cheaper n more sizes..cos jap smallest is 80/90:goodluck:

orig rims ah..hmmm if i m nt wrong e size is 1.2(front) 1.4(rear)..can try 80/80 90/80 respectively...biggest combo liao..TT900 ok liao..unless willin 2 spent more den get Battlex..easily double e price.. TT900(thai) i tink $60 for 1 pair..

Thank. cause me just bought a wave S, come with spoky rim brand " Toyko" if not wrongly spelled, and the tires for front and rear is tt900, so does it mean tubeless or the one with" na long" inside one. please advise.

spoky rims need a tubin 1..if urs is spoky den inside comfirm gt tubin..go read ur tyre walls 4 more info...
