ya... e word front use only doesn't affect much :thumb:

Dun bet on it.

I suggest u not rec something that might be potentially dangerous for fellow Wave Riders here.

If it didn't mean much diff, technical engineers at Bridgestone wouldn't have bothered coming out diff tyres for front and rear use. Instead they would have produced just diff sizes of tyres which anyone can mix and match between front and rear.

I dun mean to insult u or anything but sometimes there is a safety factor to consider.

Tyres are the only contact we have on the road.

I agree with Wai. On straights, you might not feel it, but things might get utterly wrong when you go into corners with an abnormal setup. :giddy:

I personally agree wif Thai-R & Bunta point - tyres r marked Front & Rear for veri specific reason. Even good quality bicycles tyres have these marking as well. Mountain bikes r riden on veri rugged terains wif out proper types they can preform & when u ride them fast it can be dangerous. Lets not argue over this - think about the safety factor. Tyres are the only contact we have on the road is true right ??

The facts is one have to uderstand the diff between front and rear tyres.

It's like wearing 2 left shoes or 2 right shoes instead of 1 left and 1 right.

This is the most simplest explantion i can give.

The better explantion would be tyre manufacturers made front motorcycle tyres harder then the rear.

Something to do with power transmitted to the rear wheel.

If not why do u think rear tyres wear out faster then front ??

Anyway, I'm not the tyre expert in this forum.

PM il4 if u need technical info on tyres and engine oils.

Furthermore I dun post in intention to insult or flame anyone esp Idioticlown.

But I just want Wave Riders here to be ride safe with the right stuffs.

PS : Idioticlown, read ur posts very helpful but I just wanted to correct u that's all. No hard feeling ya....

tis is nt call flamin..rite? jus CORRECTING..

if u wanna b a rider wif e right stuff go 2 HONDA for advise..yeah unless ppl there r also as dumb as bikeshop mech..

u can read postings n tink abt it bt no 1 forcin u 2 follow...e reason y rear wheel wears off faster is due 2 inertia & power tranfer..

e reason y e tyre states front use onli is becos :

1stly The straight groove of front tire offers good stability in straightway and also reduces shimmy vibration. The open grooves (the tread edge grooves) of BT-39SS front tire reduces chattering.

2ndly bridgestone does nt build tyres specificly for small bikes..tas y their smallest front size is 80/90.. rear starts onli frm 90/90..wif rim size min of 1.60...

*Wai*

Most of us here Bought parallel Imports of Honda Wave...........

So i guess thats why we all should exChanged Friendly info and advise here.........

Wrong info or Correct info its up to Facts and experience to judge.........

I think the forum will be very enriching with valuable Info from u all Guys.....

With Regards to the Wheel, i guess the front and the rear wheel has its profitable and manufactoring Purposes, thats why they are labelled and not sold to us letting us to guess Wats which front or Rear?

sizes of Tyres Are of course More catered to the bigger bikes , As we all know........racers and powder- ful bikes all need better grip and stability for their "Sizes"

The different of the tire i think we can read from the link Thai _ R posted and also idioticlown Posts........

Very True.slight Difference.....of course we can only learn more if we Share More!!!
