ok when rain, i had thought of using a pvc similar to those used on your sofas, using velco tape, so if rain going to come can cover. I had ask my dad to help me get some pvc so after try then can comment more on it. But got caught few times in the rain... so far no problem.

 

Next R&D, i realise that while using mp3 player, some might worry that kanna red light at traffic light, the sound would be damn loud so pai seh, so have been scouting around sim lim tower, think that can use a dimmer control to adjust the volume. Just need a electronic expert, to make sure that can be done. I have thought of connecting the dimmer to the wires going to the speakers so can control the current. checked out the price of the dimmer only $2.60. but got different range, 1k 20k, 30k. can someone explain what the Ks? i ask the shop woman, she say don't know?what the hell??? i think it could be resistance rating?

Ahhh. Sorry guys! i never read the complete forum just post!!! haha... ok guys, the shop name is sin poh guan auto accessories! One thing to take in mind while installing is that ask the uncle or should call him bro cause he also not so old!!! to put additional fuse to the live wire and a manual switch.

This is because my friend phantom i brought him there to install on sun got his amp blown cos he install with the live wire to the headlamp. then today, the very nice auntie at sim lim tower change for him, again blow. by the time go back, the audio shop close. Think he forget that on motorcycle our headlamps consumes the most current.

 

OK for everyone information:

Speakers & Equalizer or HU (up to your budget the auntie can get the best system to your budget my budget damn paethic thats why very simple and effective)

SIM LIM TOWER 2nd Floor New Century Electronics.

Blastier Road beside Mobil or Esso, across got another Esso or Mobil. he got a sign board outside saying "GAS $10".

Tell him the indian boy recommend he would know... just remember to add the additional fuse and also if you want to remove the box, tell to put connectors.

Guys i thought one to have a group outing to install? like that easier for everyone! however i next week term test... so only can get the stuff on a day from the 18 to the 24th. Everyone just put in your days you'll avaliable and i try to arrange something out.

 

I will also speak to the speaker guy and see he can reserve a time slot for us so he can work on our bikes all at one go and can give cheaper? i get refund back...

 

most like meetup would be at ridout tea garden... thats where i work part-time... so after work would be around 3pm or 5pm. depend on the day i working. guys who want to see my system, can come down this fri or sat to tea garden to take a look.

 

you would be surprise how this two speakers can wake up the whole carpark!!!hahaha! wake up the whole tanglin halt at 10pm before....

by the way, the refund i meant was i paid $30. so if can get lower get back maybe $5 if you guys can get at $25 to install...

don't put independent as damn troublesome to remove and charge. but if you don't mind going thru the trouble then its ok. wire and cables all in the price all ready. Actually way installation damn easy. only thing is if got the circular cutter, i can help you guys do the installation at very cheap price...hehe! i actually installed a sony xplod system in my dad's car. wired all by myself. however not very confident of cutting bike box, as i feel need to be damn accurate to get the hole very nice, one mistake, the box gone! look like sh*t after that. unless someone can cut the hole we can save the installation money... haha!!!$30 can put another two speakers....

hi guys, when to balestier audio shop get further details on why my friend amp blow... my friend actually mix up the wiring between the third brakelight and the amp while puttting the box back. Another X9 was doing their system there, believe it is my friend's wan also. I have yet to ask cheaper price from him. but workmanship really solid! For the X9, he was using a 9 gauge wire for the live wire. ppl who did grounding would know what i mean. It means damn thick wire to prevent wire kanna burn.

 

I already came up with solution for the volume control already. Would be installing soon. then let you guys know. Very simple.

sorry guys, never update so long as busy for exams. Been trying the volume control but not very smooth. turn the knob a little bit straight away cut off sound. so still playing around with the help of my electronics lecturer.

 

Jaliboy! glad that you are satisified with his attitude and friendlyness. I go many other shop, they see motorbike, they give me FXXX off face or quote damn high price.

 

Ok guys, i am bringing one of my friend this friday afternoon to buy the speaker and the amp. Meetup is at Commonwealth Mac Donald Tea Garden. Guys, who don't know, where is it can check street directory ( it is opp blk 94 commonwealth drive) along the main road off farrer road after tunnel. Kindly be careful, as you slow down to enter the carpark, as many drivers keep their eyes on their as*ses, so never see. (alot of accidents at the entrance)

Meeting time is around 1.15pm - 1.30pm on Friday (16/12/2005)
