Tips for 2nd interview...hmmm these days from what i understand, the duration of the 2nd interview had been reduced from 2 days to 1 day. So you can rest assured that it will be intense...the main highlight would be the computer test and the panel interview.

Computer test wise...just rest well before that, nothing much to tell you about it here, a lot of reflex games, some memory items and some judgemental items.

Panel interview wise...just be natural and inspired. Try to keep your cool and show respect at all times, not only during the panel interview but throughout the duration of the interview at STC.

Overview wise, you probably can visit askcaptainlim.com but please please please, do not "tailor fit" your model answers to what you think the interviewers want to hear...they have enough experience to sniff out these candidates and they are really good at it.

A380 just had a winglet clipping incident at Bangkok....wah kaus...while taxiing for it's demonstration flight. Apparently, it clipped the hanger doors...

Just tell them something relating to aviation then ... aviation's always changing with the times...with the intro of A380, A350, B787, the future's definitely exciting. Airline industry is also in a way, taking a greener approach, with the intro of B787 (less fuel consumption) in comparison to other a/c. Aviation's volatile future is also closely related to the environment (crude oil, fuel prices)

The supply of crude oil may run out in 30 - 60 years time so that will definitely impact the aviation industry.

The above examples are just an icing on the cake. You have to do some research on your own to prepare yourself in case they ask you this question, no?

More importantly, there are basically no right or wrong answer. Interviewers generally like to see how you handle a difficult situation especially for a career such as this.

If you really want it, you should work hard for it! Keep us posted of your interview.

Well I just hope they don't turn airliners into giant passenger carrying UAVs in the future...

ah chua u too big sized lah... cant fit into the cockpit seat.

besides... i think they're scared of u turning to green monster mid-flight hehehe...

I am The Great Cornholio!

And a Gringo...

I have no Bunghole...

Ah chua, do not dismay, count it as a blessing in disguise since it's the first interview and not the second. You get rejected from the first interview, you still have 2 more attempts. I am not sure when is the earliest you can reapply again but the standard is usually 6 months (correct me if im wrong here).

Meanwhile, you can continue to broaden your interest in aviation so that the next time you get another chance at the interview, you can alpha-charlie-echo (ACE) it!
