For me putting so called "addictives" into our tank combining with our petrol doesnt realy make any differences...for example (redex).lets put it this way..if u r feeding ur bike with drugs...One day without the "drugs" the craving might comes...and dun know wat might happen to your bike..juz my 2 cents..:)

no use vehicle will still move.

 

car and bike alike, it's up to the user.

 

some claim got use, some claim no use.

 

if anyone use and get a net 50% increase in FC with average travelling speed of 140KM/h, , please let me know.

I just changed EO the previous saturday... probably not gonna touch that... probably to bleed brakes change pads change filter change rollers change plug, and stock up on spares... :cheeky:

lol... my brakes aren't "cmi" yet... just that, I want to replace all the wear and tear parts, restore the bike to tip top condition... thinking about it... I suddenly feel like changing the EO as well... but its only at 700km! :cry:

good luck. do let me know what brand and dot rating chong is using for the Brake fluid.

oh. cause saw u state it as spongy.. change EO again? so your chex9000 change at every 2k millege??

I usually change at 1500km... yea now I'm collecting spare parts too haha :cheeky:

The problem is not how fast the quality of the oil wears off.

Synthetic oil is said to last longer than mineral or semi syn because it is able to remain smooth for a longer usage time and that is correct. So using synthetic oil should allow you a smoother driving/riding experience with the oil quality not degrading as quickly.

 

In the case of the Phantom, the problem lies not with the quality of the oil, but with it not having an oil filter. An oil filter catches sludge and debris in the engine oil, preventing them from being circulated. So without this filter, whatever gunk goes floating everywhere, interfering with the engine operations and if they get hard and large enough, clogging up and getting stuck everywhere.

 

So with the Phantom, the quality of the oil may still be good but the sludge and debris are allowed to continue circulating, continuing to use the oil over a longer mileage may do you more harm than good.

 

Thats why i use at most semi-syn on my TA200, still have to change every 2000k, rather save the moolahs and just play around with the brands and viscosity ratings.

I would recommend, for the sake of your bike and wallet, to use at most semi-syn, and change by every 2000km.

 

I were to use full syn, i will still feel compelled to change at 2000km for reasons stated above.
