Today a very sad day for me also... :(

At customs my left handle bar knocked against the counter, and the grip got rotated a bit, I thought little of it until I did a U-Turn and got a scratch on my tank. And the tank just got a new customed paint work less than 1 month ago! :cry:

 

I must have not ridden a phantom too long to understand any of this.

 

How does a rotated left-hand grip cause a scratch on the tank while doing a u-turn?

My bike is back!! Albeit still with the dent... but now my life is so much better again :D

 

btw, Vidak, when I was there the China mech was already piecing your engine back together... your internals all new liao... gears, conrod, valves, engine block, piston... dunno camshaft got change or not... but seriously man... new engine.

By this evening should be able to go collect heh.

nah... the bike itself is not ready yet...

 

and the bike is no longer a plane! the strobe controller cannot withstand the bike's vibration... the second set died when I rode from home to gp esso...

 

when I get back my bike I will dissect the controller to see if there are loose parts...

Wa.. stobe lights super nice man.. How much you bought them for? Autoban sells those lights too if im not wrong.

The left side black plastic piece where the signal switch is located has 2 protruding rectangle hooks (I also don't know put there for @!%#$*@ one)

 

When the handle rotated, the hooks came lower and scraped on the tank when I lock the handle bars to do a U-Turn. Don't forget I am using a BIG TANK.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

tml morning I would be getting my bike set up so that I can ride it how I wanted to... maybe a little adjustments here and there would do the trick, and I would be very quick... I hope to get some good lap times tml morning before heading to lab for a break...

those grips can be bought at LAB and the sticker shop too;-)
