bro its normal. im using 1 too.

headlight takes up alot of power so when headlight off, is above 12, close to 13V when headlight headlight on, volt drops to ard 12.

when rev it goes up to 14.4v which is normal.

if ur batt weak or rectifier gone already, the voltage will neva hit 14.4v.

if batt gone, when have even start bike the voltage should be ard 10v neva over 12v.

voltmeter is for us to monitor when the battery is weak or rectifier gone. if u rev it neva go up to 14.4v rectifier gone already

Sorrie, may i knw whether yrs is digital or analogue?? and reading izzit near to 14v or more than 14v while on teh move...pls clarify cos cant be >14 from what i believe..Mayb different machine bah??No offense anyway.

12.2 should be when headlight on idling.

near 13 should be when headlight off idleing.

14.4 should be when rev n headlight off.

near 13.8 should be when rev headlight on.

correct me anyone?

From my understanding, cos i have no headlight switch idling is abt 13v(can be more or less) On teh move is near or at 14v. Switch on w/o engine running is between 11 and 12 unless you have left yr bike to collect dust for a very long time.

Before i can answer you, alot of things have to consider like how old is yr batt oredi and during yr last change, do you change together with rectifier or the batt itself and do you park yr bike under shade or in the open.Aiya alot of scientific factors to think abt it......so i couldnt help you in these...but i think shld be ok as the current discharge wont be that great unless you toking abt mths.

Just bought a voltmeter and not very sure about how to go about in installing it.

Tried installing but the voltage is not the same as from the battery.

Voltmeter reading only 11+ when start bike but will reach 12+ to 14+ when riding.

What wire to connect them to????

:help:

It is normal for voltage to increase as you ride. Cause the battery are being "charged" by the rectifier.

Yes I know but thought even when before riding the voltage should be 12.4V and when riding should be 13+ to 14+... But now its not as expected so not sure if my connection is correct...

Thanks

For bike during idling or low RPM, actually it does not charge that much. So that why the voltage is normally nearer to the resting voltage. So when moving off, normally at higher RPM, then the rectifier will start to charge normally which will give you the 13 ~ 14+V. If your resting voltage is 11 plus, maybe your battery is losing it memory effect. You might want to consider changing it. YOu might also consider checking with other ewxperience guys around. If you want to double check if your volt meter is ok or not, you can double confirm the voltage with a another volt meter tap directly to the battery. This way you can confirm whether your wiring is correct or not.

make sure its connected to ignition or else i will be on 24/7 if u connect direct to batt

connecting to ignition or battery, depends on how you wanna do it... battery fives the best readings,... ignition dun... add a switch or relay and connect the ignition to pin 85 of the relay...

I connected it after the ignition... earlier I actually connect it to the headlight but found that it was a mistake as the voltage was even lower than 11 and also when i switch to high beam, the volt meter will have no readings.... Think the voltage should be around there lah.... Just let it be lor...

main thing is to roughly know the normal voltage so when it is much lower than normal than i will know its not working or something is wrong....

Thanks for all advice..... :thumb:

as above...i wanna change my erp unit to the side...bought the bracket already...but now the problem is how to change the voltmeter to the centre of the 2 meters? I got a holder for the voltmeter but dunno how to attach it to the centre...coz the holder need to screw in 1 part to secure it...but i got the rxz saitao so no where to screw in leh...how u guys attach it ah? thanks in advance...

and also i juz top up coolant.....reserve coolant tank there high level...now slightly above low level only...coz' when i park my bike juz now, got coolant flowed out of the black tube linking to the reserve coolant tank...is this normal anot ah?

Life is a scam, what is important now might not be important in the future...
