Weekly Friday Night 2nd Link Ride/Makan

 

DATE: Friday, 12th Dec '08

TIME: 9.00PM onwards

MEETING VENUE: JURONG BIRDIE PARK ENTRANCE

MOVE OFF: 9.30PM SHARP.

 

Checklist:

Please prepare enough ringgits/valid passport/sufficient cashcard/filled up whitecard & r*in gear.(Standby)

 

*Note:

- Please DO NOT come if you are Not feeling well; On medication; Bike not in good condition & ETC.

 

- Commit only when you are decided.

 

- If unsure abt meeting point, check the directory, FYI, streetdirectory.com is up, OR, time to get a copy of street directory & learn to topo.

 

- Please have proper time keeping, unless having genuine reasons, please inform earlier of lateness.

 

- Proper riding gear is encouraged. i.e. Long pants(min. Jeans); Covered shoes/boots; Gloves; Jackets.

 

- Convoy speed: 90km/h~100km/h

 

- R*in or Shine, with or without response, Im going in.

 

-*P-platers are welcomed, BUT PLEASE, INFORM YOUR N.O.K. WHERE YOU"LL BE GOING; & prepare an(TOUCHWOOD) I.C.E.(In Case of Emergency] number in your HP or a piece of paper to be given to me.

 

Itinerary:

 

9.00pm: Gather

9.30pm: Move off

10.00pm~11.45pm: Reach Sgp Custom, (Pending on queue) Clear & towards Msia Custom & toll

12mn onwards: Exit 312C U-turn, R&R then pump, OR, Exit 307 Perling town, then back to GP Shell for refill

Late Night: Back to Sgp & home sweet home.

Frying pan appearing on the road, men killed on SLE

 

A postman was suspected to be trying to avoid a frying pan that appeared suddenly on the road, causing him to skid and killed.

 

The deceased is Mr Qiu Biming, 39, married with an 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter. His sister, Ms Qiu Meirong, 41, working as a secretary told the reporter that they were from JB, but her brother started working for Singpost as a postman more than 10 years ago. Everyday, he will travel between Singapore and Johor.

 

At about 12.40pm yesterday, the deceased was riding towards PIE on SLE, but was suspected to skid when he was avoiding a frying pan on the road. He was pronounced dead about 15 minutes later, at about 1pm.

 

Besides an elder sister, he leaves behind one younger sister and one younger brother. His body will be delivered to JB and cremated there tomorrow.

 

The police confirmed the accident and they have recovered a frying pan on the accident scene.

 

May Mr Qiu RIP and the idiot who threw the frying pan go to hell!
