my monthly allowance is $400, i would say juz nice for me to ride a wave, my wave has no instalment.. food about $280 per month, so onli left $120, plus the other expense like going out, kopi session, mod the bike. everything is within the budget and no room to breathe. now have to change tyres and suspension and have to save n scrimp for another 2month.... :giddy: ... if u reali want a bike for transport, get a 2nd wave or kup cai, don get 2 stroke bike, u will regret.. i was riding hornet125 and the expense quite high, the bike broke down and change piston and other stuff, heavy maintence and lucki to change to a wave, its ok to ride for ns life... at least u dun have to worry for heavy maintenance... hope this helps... :smile:

The other thing is... don't get into the "can afford to buy, cannot afford to buang" situation...

Accidents happen, no matter what, if you don't have a small pile of spare cash lying around and you go and kiss someone's backside... that's its. Every month keep on paying insurance and road tax, bike spoiling cause no money to repair... then somemore other person claim your insurance...

Strongly agree your point

jus some normal rough calculations if u ride wave la

petrol, 2 times a week, gives you about 300km

1 month petrol roughly = $4.50 x 2 x 4 = $36

1 month maintainence, if change semi syn EO, spark plug, wash carb,

1 month = $13 + 3 + 15 = $31

carpark (MSCP) = $17

road tax, divide 1 yr, 1 month roughly= $7

insurance, if TPFT, 1 month roughly = $42

total on motor = $133, without adding in installments

but all these are rough estimates la

u still need to eat, sh*t, play ma

so do consider............. cos wave, insurance confirm cheaper then TZM or SP

jus my opinion

hi juz wanted to comment tat u might wan to consider cbr150 as its a gd transport bike, not tat ex, maintenance quite low also, n no need 2T so can save abit here.. fuel consumption higher than wave but lower than sp 1litre abt 30-35km... :cheeky:

i ride SP for a yr plus..

Full stock condition

Monthly Expenses:

$80 (JB Petrol) / $150 (SG Petrol)

$10 - $20 (2T- Depending on brand i feel like buying)

$15 (Season Parking)

Thats it.

Maintenance:

$10 - $20 every 3 months (DIY gearbox oil change)

$3 every 3 months (DIY spark plug)

$5 a yr for chain lube (DIY using brush and Castrol Mineral gear oil)

i paid my bike in full so i got no problems with installments. Not very expensive rite? of coz if u get a sports bike and becum a racer wanabe.. u gain alot of unnecessary expense from the TP and money to "MOD" ur so-called racing bike..

actually 2t cause u like bout 10 bucks only what..2t is not the problem..can buy good 2t like pennzoil from jb wat..we recommend wave as its maintainance is cheap and doesn't need much attention from the user..take an example as the pizza delivery riders like me too..we wheelie, do lots of things..buang here and there but yet the only problem is a little such as the allignment of the tyre..thats all..

mitsubishi van

KR proton

fiat panorama

wave R special edition

RXZ

125Z

TZM

Glad that you've made a choice..A right one? Wrong one? It totally depends on how you see it..Hope you're really happy with your choice..Good 2T is expensive but its worth buyin/using if it can help prevent pistons seizing and stuff..At least do get semi synthetic 2T IMO..Best if can get fully synthetic..Well whatever it is..Congrats on getting your very own bike..

09/07/2009 - Passed 2B TP (10th attempt)

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

ey.. How abt Cbr150 or honda wave? :cheeky:

how much is the honda CBR150 bro? im new around here. can input? (: how does it compare to kawa kkr150 in terms of pricing and performance? any other bikes like these 2 ard? (:

To the threadstarter, it depends on what you really want/need. Low FC? low $$ monthly maintenance? Long term use? If you wanna ride a bike with style but don't mind paying more $$, then by all means go for the TZM but be warned, this bike is famous for "coughing" a lot. The Krr is a good choice after the TZM but if you want a sports bike, you should consider the CBR 150. 4stroke, low FC, just enuff power (from what I've read that is).

The cubs are a good choice if you're thinking practical (low price, low FC, enuff to get you to pt B from pt A) and don't mind the look of the bikes.

At least you can afford to put aside $400 a mth tho ;)

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]
