there is an AngMoh rider with a Thrux. Carb model.

why dont you run a check on the Triumph website.

The 2008 models (Black paint with gold strip) is a carb model, subsequent ones are EFI model although the out look is still pretty much the same. I.E still look like a carb. Not sure the rest but the 2008 model are using clip-ons while the 2009 model are using the handle bar. Apparently there seems to be no OEM bar end mirror available for the 2008 model to really give it those cafe racer look. Washing the bike can be a chore (With those spoke rims and niks and corners not easily reachable). Overall, it is a really good bike that sounds good,looks good and handles well. Well all these are just my personal opinion and to be honest, I'm not sure of what else to write except, hope this helps.

Cheers

And Mah does have a thrux on display, it's a 2009 model with red paint scheme.

E 2009 model is EFI. Comes wit a dummy carb. I see its using clip on handles.

Sound wise not to sure abt it cos its EFI now.

there is no "resale" value per se for these kind of bikes, willing buyer, willing seller situation. i think a fair price for the bike would be between 2.5-6k depending on condition, milage, number plate etc.

in the UK, t-birds are about STG1.5-2.5k at the moment but than again a gs1150 is only stg5k.

Not much of a choice :( At least we still have the option to purchase the bikes. I heard in other Asian countries, you got to have connections in order to purchase bikes such as Harleys ........

we are supposed to be a developed country... or maybe i thought so only.

having a x2 or x1.5 times increase over USA or UK msrp is quite crazy. they have the 'higher' standard of living and we pay more than them for a bike?:weep:

hence i will only buy reasonable price bikes....:box:

not really the case for motorcycles. from my own calculation its only 34% tax to bring the bike in.... (7% gst included)

distributer normally have about 10% to 30% off the MSRP. lets say

MSRP=100%

dist. discount= -15%

taxes= 34%

MSRP+19%?? but the irony is some less popular models are at the MSRP of UK and USA. :shades:

really don't understand. they give excuses like yen went up etc... when the pounds, USD or euros went down i didnt see a reduction in their bike prices too....

too profit oriented....
