hi all,

 

after reading all the comments before me, i feel that everyone should hear both side of the stories. For e.g. A, B, C may have bad experiences with ah hong but it dosen't mean that the rest are having the same experience too. I am not siding ah hong. i hangs out at ah hong workshop quite often and able to see all characters. i also do my bikes with him. all i can say is, please be "reasonable customers".

just to let you know that ah hong was admitted to Changi hospital yesterday afternoon due to an accident with a lorry. he is in critical condition. anybody who would like to visit him, please contact 68461884 and ask from rosli and ah cui. let's wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

Went there to access my dmg for my accident. Was over quoted alot. Did the repairs somewhere else at only 1/10 the price he quote. Carrot saved. Thats all i want to say.

Due to some good recommendations, I decided to try AHM service about 2 weeks ago, but ended up very disappointed. The staff there seems to know nothing. Poor knowledge, bad attitude, impatient and a very messy workshop.

 

Yesterday passed by AHM again, totally empty. Subsequently, then I know what happened. About 150 metres down the road from AHM, a Hayabusa crashed into the rear portion of a truck. I did not see the rider but people at the scene said the rider is the boss from AHM. They say he is speeding at very high speed when he collided into the truck. See from the truck and the Hayabusa, the impact must be terror.

 

I personally feel that even if you are a professional rider/racer, you should not be speeding at this kind of place, it is so crowded and anytime a car or forklift will reverse out from any workshop.

Anyway, let's hope Ah Hong will have a speedy recovery.

everything has its right time and place....

 

cant possibly everybody start racing on Singapore road ma...dangerous to himself and other road users also...

 

i think it was a reckless and foolish act on his part...as a boss of a motortiam some more he should know better...haiz!

was there yesterdae, he's still in icu but awake already, according to his men there his spine is and neck is injured but overall ok, whatever it is riding may cuase bodily injury but the passion for it would always be there, have a fast recovery

i do agree with u .. ever once.. asked him for quote.. he anyhow bomb price one.. change motul 300v EO,original yamaha oil filter, coolant(motul), spark plug(original) he want to charge $XXX.. lets do a rough breakdown of price..

 

EO $26 x 4 = $104

oil filter = $15

coolant = $45(inclu flush)

plugs = $40

round up maybe around $200 - $250 + - ..

guess what .. he quoted? way above $300.. went to my regular motor shop and get the job done. cost $200+ only.

 

anyway due to some incident, i would never go there anymore but speedy recovery to ah hong

haha..after reading through all the above posts & comments, i remembered i felt this way too when i juz came to AHM performance after recommendation from my fren 2 or 3 yrs back..i serviced by bike previously w/ Xtreme @ ubi but prices are high though service is good. I would say Ah hong can really explain stuff very detailed,however juz a reminder, all mechanics are humans,humans commit errors & humans are imperfect,i agree to a certain extent his prices can be quite low sometimes & he is negotiable when u are familiar with him in terms of quotations for simple parts. But there are pros & cons to everything,when u been there long enuff,u noe wad i mean...btw i'm currently servicing my bike @ bikeworkz (shun li industrial park) so far so good,no complaints nor insatisfaction over there.

 

Well, it seems like he takes his regulars or old customers who has been following him for years for granted.

 

My bike has been left there for months. He claims that he does not have time to repair my bike, but yet he keeps accepting new customers.

So many times i went down, he will sort of "start" on my bike, but once a new customer come, he will jump over n start on their bike n tell me later he will do my bike.

 

 

I was promised and gurenteed that my bike will be ready by end of may but now its still there.

I went down 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks to collect my bike as he said its ready, tested by him personally already.

But each time i went down to try my bike, there are problems and I end up having to leave it there again.

 

I have followed him since 2004 even back when he was at ah tan motoring.

I can only say I'm very dissapointed.

 

Yup. Agreed. Bad experience there too. Instead of checking if he has the replacement parts, he operate your bike first then tell you he don't heve the parts. What a waste of time.

 

similiar to wat had happened to me... my buddy ve a even worst experience, but we dun wish to describe wat he had gone thro... end of the day, the boss juz din wana admit fault n din wana give my buddy a replacement even the faulty item is tested by him infront of us...

 

however, we r not goin to pursue this matter anymore, since then we ve switch to another better n reliable workshop...

 

if such incidents still go on, i believe he will only keep losin his regular n old customers...

haix.. true enough... quite a few people did have bad experience same as mine, dun wish to say too much.. But just one comment, if customer do not wish to leave bike with you, dun insist to take something from the bike and say "leave it here since you coming back tml"
