Hey guys i just got my 2B 1 week ago and got a 2nd hand Daystar 150 from CKA Toh Guan, will be collecting it this Tues. I need help to know what to check when collecting my bike. Cause it's my first time buying a bike. Thanks guys

Congratz..

make sure you have your paperwork with me during riding just in case you got stop by tp during routine police stop..

1) Insurance

2) Road Tax

3) Ownership title (not sure about this)

 

Maybe you also wanna check

1) Engine (make sure its not difficult to start.. usually 1 press should start. listen to the engine, make sure not funny noise.. the sound should be readily stable)

2) Tires (if stock tire, you might consider to change)

3) Brakes

4) IU

5) headlight (on and off, high and low bean), brake light using rear and front brake, signal lights front and back

6) checking horn working

7) check batt (need voltmeter to check the voltage)

8) check spark plug

9) check air filter

10) test front fork whether smooth or not

11) engine oil quality and level

12) ............. etc

 

if in doubt, check pester them to change a new one for you if possible.. cos you are getting from CKA not private seller, they are charging you higher therefore make sure they change the stuff for you.. dont be too excited to collect it and ride off.. dont let them feel you are first timer.. take your time and explore the bike there.. ask anything if in doubt.. remember, once you leave the shop any wear and tear is at your cost..

 

take your new machine for a ride immediately in the area.. anything you feel weird go back immediately and feedback..

remember to ask for freebies.. if any..

Bro, very hard to say leh, cause inside engine we cant see,

but check whether engine very noisy bo,

you can ask them got waranty bo,

cause i think they got giv ppl 3month or more warranty.

i guess usually engine oil will change at 2km (1.2L of engine oil to be added) and alternate engine oil filter change..

ask them, they will have a better idea and recommendation.

dont be shy to ask them on details..

 

go look up on LTA website.. any modification from the manufacturer's specification is illegal except for some..

If u want sound like that sorri none is legal.

but i do have a set of exhuast (Super Loud & more Powerful then Harley) if u are interested.

as for mod hmm.... i think u should ask Bro sky as he is super good in it ha ha ha.. do pm me ur contact if u want to meet us i'll arrange but the base line is get ur bike first & rides alot till u can handle it well.as this is one of the heaviest bike in Class 2b. lastly do ask for warr. from T.G CKA. take care
