:dot:Yo. looks that the club is dying with no new influx of members. Maybe we should encourage more new member? Just a suggestion, why don't we make a regular meetup like we did the past 2 outings.

 

Simple Agenda

1. Ride to JB

2. Top Up Fuel

3. Go to Bike Wash Area

4. Book in bike for "grooming" at RM$8

5. Proceed to "customer waitng Area"

6. Order Satay and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course)

7. Sit back, watch and try to find fault with the "grooming Staff

8. Try to negotiate for group discount

9. Head back to singapore ( if nobody, wants to do any shopping at the

"bapok Area"

 

So, what do ya think?

 

Also, we could print some small little flyers and pass it to fellow CBF riders that we see on the road (like a name card)

 

We could get one of us to design one and I can print from my office( we got alot of recycle paper)

 

Probably, through our basic meetups, we could get some "creative ideas"

 

Also, we could share things like our favourite mechanics and then when could go as a group and make that place a " CBF150 Specialist Shop" I think the boss of the chosen shop will be very happy to see similar bikes coming regularly.

 

One good example, would be the phantom knights club, they started small and then some on recommended a shop in lengkok bahru "ah koon" . The next thing you know the shop grew its customer base progressively.

 

Now, among those that ride phantom 150 or 200 generally go to him. Technically, the mechanic has improved his skills and troubleshooting technique for that particular model due to the increased frequency to the shop.

 

This could only be an advantage. We could also "pull out" from the shop if we get bad service.

 

So guys, what do you think, we should try to build our benefits reaped through the group as a whole.

 

regarding bike service workshop, i reckon defu lane UniqueMotorsport. very good service. alex is a very patience guy. once they put DOT 5.1 brake fluid to the brake kit, the rubber swell within 2days. went back to them n they replaced the brake kit at no extra cost, and topped up red DOT 3 fluid. jus spent my petrol and waiting time.

Also, I just found out that when I bought the bike from the shop, the first engine oil he already go and put synthetic oil for me! I asked for mineral oil and he said it has no difference, put synthetic even better!

 

My 1st engine oil change (at 700km) also go and put synthetic oil again! I didn't go back boonsiew cos I got no time to wait. Plus I heard of their very poor service.

 

Will this have any negative effect on my engine?

im new here as well as a new owner of cbf (1 mth)

 

so far im okay with the bike, just that it does not seem to allow me to go any higher than 70kmh now

 

my fc is ard 43km/lit.

That's strange, what did you do to your bike for it to not run higher than 70kmph? I must not do it! haha

 

I usually cruise between 80-90kmph, and I do notice that at around 70kmph there's a vibration on the handle bar.. I heard that after changing engine oil the problem will disappear but I just changed and its still there.. going to Boon Siew this sat to check it out.. Must be the stupid shop and their synthetic engine oil... This sat at Boon Siew I confirm demand for mineral oil and nothing less!!

i didn't do anything to it, i asked my friends around and they said it's normal during the run-in period. they also said that after changing engine oil, it should be okay. my mileage is now 450km only.. thought of changing it after 500km..

1 month and not even 500km yet?! I 4 days already hit 700km. Can't help it, live in east, work in west haha

yup, 6km from home to work only.. a bit lucky in this sense, however will clock more next month cos of changing work, will travel from south to north!

 

anyway, what is the diff between synthetic engine oil and mineral oil that you have mentioned? i have 3 free servicing (of changing engine oil) from the motordiam that i bought this cbf, and i wonder what will they give me (synthetic or mineral)?

i duno also.. i get conflicting ideas from different ppl i meet.. some say synth oil is good for new engines, some say mineral oil is good.. I say just heck care as long as the bike can run at 90-100 comfortably.

ok guys some changes ive made and sum difference felt...

I went in wif MerBoy and BipoSto 3 weeks ago......i Had my rear Sprockets change to smaller size 40......and changed my drivr chain to D.I.D....felt it runs much smoother than before.....i used the GoLd MobiL fully synthetic engine Oil (Accelerate).....it cares so much for ur engine....dats what i felt....am not sure for u guys.......

as for the sprockets.....size 40 gave me the maintain in speed as we elevate up hill......as normally would drop gradually to 80km/h.......mine maintained at 100km/h and didnt drop even a cm......true on my bike.....as for u guys.....im not sure......as i speak right now....my bike is utilised and clocked at 70K=70%....hehehe.....and am waiting fer sum answers from my neighbour....he works in AGIP and he lettin me try on AGIP's racing motor oil soon.....will update u guys soon if proven tested.....cheers guys!!!....anything do feel freecontact me @ 91029720....god Bless

guys i just went out with zed and his gang for his CBR150 outing... We shd organize one like that again some time, exchange ideas to mod our bikes to make it look more trendy, and so on!

some mods I've done so far is I changed the mirrors to an oval one with carbon fibre look, changed seats and now its much more comfy, changed to Battlax BT45 tyres, changed rear no. plate light with a white led one, removed stock honda decals and added a "star alliance" sticker, added carbon fibre to some parts of the bike.. Mostly cosmetics.. I intend to add a crashbar and radiator mesh somewhere next week. I dun intend to do any mechanical mods until much later when get next month pay + clock at least 3000km, whichever comes later!
