and when the bike move off from stop,there's a 'churning' feel from the engine,is it normal??

 

Yeah the bike is hot and the churning sound.."greeggg..greegg" when moving off I suspect comes from the slipper clutch..When new, the sound is more distinct..after a while it gets softer but still have..

 

I asked mechanics at HKL and they said the same thing also..

 

But the current issue now with R6 08 is the vibrations it transmit above 6K rpm.. sucks..

hong leong jus email n say r6 09 estimated @ mid dec 08.. n they reply said no mailing list n such.. so i duno how u got that..

 

how much of the past prices of r6 u have.. what was the machine price from hl when r6 08 was release ? currently machine price for HL otr without coe is about 21k..

 

I only got one price list which they sent me when I requested for it's current price. They price list is updated as at sep 08, price is 19277.5 machine price. I don't know the exact price for r608 when first release, but it is around 22k otr according to last time thread.

 

Don't put too much hope when they give you the estimated release date, coz last time also like that, then drag and drag very long. You can read page 193 onwards. It seems like now fewer people getting R6 09 compared to 08.

I've been doing hard breaking for my 2 class 2 bikes..CBR1000RR and R6 08.

 

Hmm..diff between hard and normal break on paper states that hard break will seal(piston ring) the bore better thus giving more compression due to lesser compression loss compared to normal break. To further explain very chim..I try give link..wait hor......arrr..here it is..

my friend lost his bike at the MSCP at downtown east chalet 2 days ago at ard 4am ..

he got off his bike at ard 12am , a passerby asked him for directions , he assisted him and therefore forgot that his key is still in his ignition . according to the CCTV there , his bike was stolen minutes before he reach the MSCP at 4am .

 

CCTV also captured that its a bunch of riders hanging out near that area .. spotted the key is there . then that whole lot left , after that , 1 bike pillion 1 guy went back to the MSCP again . the pillion start the bike and left off .

 

that bunch of rider is using "cutting/logo" helmet .. its a orange design in the centre of the helmet with gold strip at the side .

 

bike lost was a R6'08 . black . fully stock with K2 tyre .

 

number plate : FY908D

 

any1 with info on this helmet design or this particular bike .. pls call me at

Yup..mine was from I Motoring..push the bike next door HKL for hard breaking the same day it was released from shop..

Monthly: $360 x 60 Downpayment: $3500

 

My insurance is the killer $1300..COE $1200. All these while have been using my friend's uncle name on my former CBR1000RR so now no NCD..

 

To me its a good deal cos I got a very good price for my Leo Vince full system in exchange..

Yup authorized dealer is cheaper, this is their strategy to outsource their sales. If distributer sell cheaper then bikeshops can close door already.

 

08 model is the major updated model to 07, so people can't be bothered about the price.

haha..i'm on leave lah..also I work 10 days in 1 month..so got alot of weekday off.

 

Also thinking of getting an alarm system..CMO got a few selling, don't know which one is good or all the same except brand and packaging.

 

I brought in China products before..with a little bit of money, you can ask the manufacturer to print and brand your own product.
