for a YAMAHA bike owner,d best place to go is of coz HONG LEONG agency who is d sole agent n importer of yamaha bikes.their mechs r more den qualified to help u wit ur problems.but heres d catch - they charge u more higher den evry1 else out there!

If R1 can get tat timing, den R6 would be better? considering the engine, performance, specs & its PG. R6 do better than R1 rite? :cheeky::cheeky:

On a side note, did you sell your RVF to a fella staying @ Hg ave 8?

actually when travellin on a cool night in sg.. or in malaysia.. my bike has maintained 75 degrees on the move..

can any bros enlighten how to increase the idle timing? my bike idling below 1K RPM when it is hotter.. resulting in slow moving off and bike sometimes die off.. ppl think i keep stalling at traffic lights..

Wat bro Kuntare said is correct..change to engine ice also no use cos the bike will still be hot..

Someone here said the vibrations on the R6 can be felt at low rpms..yes there are some vibrations/sound until after 4K-5K rpm..

Someone here said there is a greeegg..greeegg sound coming out when moving off..yes, the sound i assume come from the stock slipper clutch. Its the sound of metal parts grinding..like the bike no power to move of..as time goes by..the sound diminished.

Someone here also said the gear lever gets hard to change gears..its time to change EO. Ur bike is very new..ur choice of EO is not suitable..its suppose to be mineral oil for the 1st 1.5K km(500km/500km/500km)..(dats wat was recommended to me by the professionals at HKL)

Posted

Oh..so the "gregg gregg" sound when moving off was from the slipper clutch? And i was wondering where was it from all the time :cheeky:

Regarding the vibrations it comes to me at about 6-7rpm,small buzzing vibrations...either i decelerate to below 6 or pull beyond 7...

already clock about 7k km le.. at first was mineral oil, then fully Synthetic eo, last change was at about 5.8k km, currently on the 2nd fully Synthetic eo..
