the 06-07 R6 are "well-known" for Con-rod bearing problem.

 

That's why for 08 they change to "wider con rod bearings"

 

If the 06 R6 has been ridden hard b4 passed to you.. I think maybe you'll need to change more than just timing chain.

guys, got a 2 piece race fairing (R6 06/07) for sale @ $350. (as shown in the signature)

 

Fairing is not able to fit onto the bike fitted with stock exhaust system.

 

no windshield and but comes with a windshield headlight.

damn.. how much on avg it cost for aftermarket n orginal ? thinking of buying 1..

 

IMO, is too expensive. Is better to get a race tail.

Buy a single seater race tail which is moulded from fibre glass. It cost as much as just the seat cover. On one hand, is a whole piece of your tail section.

Monday 22nd June..after this weekend cup and scoot race..Motard race will never be held. So sad and piss..kena play out!!! hahaha.. :mad:

Its not bcos of no business..it started from the Supermoto 2009 Rd 1 race incident. From there the track/management/owner have been under alot of scrutiny. Some safety features were added but deemed not enough for high powered supermoto nowadays..

 

Actual reason for its closure is unknown but it started from there.. :dot::cry:

If u want the single seater..go online its cheaper..but dun forget that u need the rear seat locking mechanism. Some online seller sell the single seater w/o the mechanism..so its cheaper..

 

Not too sure if u can reuse the ori rear seat mechanism to the single seater thou..

Hey R6 riders.. Just a question to all of u. Do u find that R6 seats is very high? Abit troublesome right. Do u guys have the trouble of reversing on a slope or doing a U-turn? I have this problems. any tips? =)

slope i sure got problem.. tight uturn too.. last resort is to stand n push.. haha.. ytd went AH, bike slot was on slope, when i leaving, wan reverse backwards, slope.. sigh end up gota push from ground.. lol.. unless the person physically strong i guess then maybe easy to push while sitting on bike..

seat oredi high for me even on normal ground.if reversing on slope more worse....unless its reversing on a downward slope.hehehe... :cheeky: :angel:

Its not really the seat position that is high..its becos of the seat width dat causes your thighs to spread wider thus u can hardly reach the ground.

 

U can try to readjust ur rider seat by going to any seat saddlery shop and have the front part smaller(less sponge) but the thing is..i sayang the original seat cover so end up nvr do it..unless it got torn and i will modify it. :thumb:

then park ur bike head towards up slope when you wanna move off can turn on throttle up the slope no need to push or reversing down slope will be easier make a 3 point turn:cheers:

haha.. but not every car park will suit what u need, as in the parking can be in up down left right (4 direction), but slope can only be 1.. so if the car park in such cases dont fit into ur case, then end up either to park or when to leave the lot would be the diffculty we face as discuss above =)

Tried and tested.. 06&07 full systems CAN fit 08&09..
