bro, i and y2kredbull always go to ahm to do our rxk with ah cui..... the apek mech.... old bird who know well on old bikes.... he's riding rxs and his bike can beat any of our bikes here.... so his experience is very useful to us..... no harm going there to chat with him...

Got the RXK wording ? lol.. i actaully also looking for quite alot of K parts.. and oh.. my mech told me the original RXZ throttle can be used on Rxk is tat true? cause my throttle got prob and i changing one soon..

 

advice on a stock rxz throttle as well TQ all!

thats me, i reduced my selling price to 950 liaoz.

 

but dun think i can sell the tank seperately, cos its part of the package. (thus the higher price)

need to renew my insurance, i find out that i must pay a whooping $700 for it in mitsui. last year it was only 400 plus. do u guys know of any other insurance company? apperently ntuc dont take bikes that are above 20 years old.

hello all.

 

my K is leaking some kinda oil which i presume to be eo due to a fall a few days back. i just came back from scouring my area's bike shops and they quoted me 150-170 to change 2 bearings, gasket, and some kind of washer (sorry for my inaccurate/vague info, imma noob and the mechanics who speak bits and pieces of english doesnt help me in understanding whats wrong either)

 

is it a reasonable price? or are there any other workshops you guys know of? ive read previous posts and a few workshops was named, ie AHM, chia heng etc. just need some confirmation. thanks in advance =]

 

hi..you might want to try calling this no. 9431 6851. the guy's name is ah lai. he is a mobile bike repair man who is damn reliable. maybe can call him and ask for diagnostic on your bike.

im looking for that kind of tank too man. but theres this mech told me to put husqvarna tank which he once saw 1 rxk do it. but that was just a suggestion. i hav yet to see one..

And guys anyway as i was travelling home today on road was doing 80 90... I thought, if we can fit in a RXZ 6 speed gear box into our rxk.. it will make cruising much easier and at a lower RPM waste lesser fuel... and also it will cut the vibration as its not vibrating that much...

 

 

so what you guys think of that idea? and has anyone tried doing it before? cause if we are cruising at higher speed, it will help if we have a higher gear to save petrol and reduce vibration...

bro, if u want to use domino fast throttle also can lah..... serious... hehehehehe..... i myself looking for some rxz parts for my k like the signal controls. the other day i went to this shop at bendemeer (after aspoon on the right side beside the coffee shop) near the bridge. i check out his shop and found out that he has alot of rx's parts. the thing that capture my eyes are the original rx100 front mudguard, grey colour.... swee liao!!!! try to check it out. he also has this small yamaha wordings for rxk tank.

if u r looking for original parts, u can get from ban hong leong at jalan besar plaza. be prepared that original parts are costly..... 1 e.g.; yamaha rxk front mudguard cost $80. others, u can try to find from rowell road, bendemeer road or at changi road.

hahha but seriously the throttle i have now is a fast throttle.. well tats what my mech told me.. i dont wan modified stuff i prefer stock leh.. i jsut chged my clutch and brake lever to stock RXZ black ones.. i feel tat stock are more solid and hardcore leh!

 

and also why i wanna chg to stock throttle.. cos the fast throttle i have now cant stay on the handle bar.. its now tied down using cable tie.. [done by periouvs owner] i like to have stock bike! just like tat feeling ! hhaaha and my exhaust also not original one.. wah.. wan rev tt time.. i also pai seh.. DAMMMMNN LOUD. even my dad's laughing at me too lol

 

 

Hmm aspoon okok i must go and see see.. and also.. talk about ah boy.. i also havent been there b4 man.. wth right.. haha and for the 6 speed dream.. will it be possible? haha
