hi guys,

i have this speedo meter prob..in the diagnostic/troubleshooting stage.

u see the pics below,

when i unscrew, there's a "wire" stuck in the hole ( the red arrow), is it normal? or is it stuck to the wheel..need to take out.

coz at this position, when i turn the wheel, the "wire" also turn. however, when i connected it back, the other end of the "wire"( the one connected to my speedo) didnt turn.

anyone noes is it normal, or it shouldnt be there..i.e. need to take out..den fix a new speedo cable

haiyoooo... die lahhh. coe ending feb 2012. If scrap, then all my efforts + money to waste. If pay, then feels like maybe more worth buying a new bike. Gosh. its hard to decide. Hope it drops by new year. :((

COE is always climbing. It might hit near to $3000 by next year. I have the same feeling you do with my LC. Already spent time and money on restoring it. But COE ends next year as well. I think it all boils down to what you feel about the bike, if you feel it's good for another 10 years, then go for it. One time pain, 10 years of enjoyment.

I agree with you hondarebel bro. One time pay COE 2k++. If for a K, I service the bike like 3monthly (EO + spark plug) = $12/-. Rarely got major prob but usually its the wear and tear like cables and bulbs. Tats less than $20/-. Insurance every year for me $200++. Enginewise just take care of ur 2T and ur engine will be ok. Total spent if i renew my K's COE will be less, way way less than buying a new bike. And K parts still can get coz can use RXZ parts and I saw a couple of K with the newer FB(x) plates. So the demand for parts is still there.
