so wat's normal? all 3 brake discs should have almost the same heat feel after a ride?

how accurate your finger is??

brake rotors will definately be hot after some riding and braking, it's normal..

unless you using aftermarket rotors which had better heat dispitation..

you can always check your brakes by lifting up your wheel and try spinning it.. if very hard to spin, most prob your brakes are eating and cannot retract, go workshop and have it checked..

if your wheel is not spinning properly and have a lot of sounds, your bearings are most probably gone, go workshop change..

Where can i get the cheapest Fat bars with Clamps in SG?

Fat bars normally dun come with the clamps..

you can try:

Ch**ng A*k and *deal - Renthal

B*k*t*ch21 - Tag

L*B -Various brands (Renthal, GPR, etc)

M*zz* - Sunline

clamps for fatbars comes in 2 types:

one is just a adapter to your current one but it will raise your handlebar height..

the other is to replace your OEM clamps totally, but more expensive..

average price for a fatbar is $150.. materials used for these aftermarket handlebars are very much stronger than our OEM ones..

OEM bars will bend in event of fall/skid, but branded aftermarket bars will maintain its shape in these unfortunate events..

if you are finding the cheapest fatbar, you can try our friendly, well-known L*B..

but i'm not sure whether his brandless ones will break into half..

fixed. the screw up was due to an accidental misclick a few days ago resulting in the 2 massive threads being merged. our dear mod Shinhwa- spent almost 8hrs undoing the damage. :giddy:

trying to understand the theory behind it..:)

i've tried to use just the front brakes

and totally refrain from tapping the rear for about a 50km journey(with more braking effect done),

what surprise me is the front are only of mild warm and not what u mentioned definitely be hot...and the never a single slight tap of the rear actually feels warmer than the both front..o_O

Like what biting point has suggest, u can try lift ur bike and spin ur rear wheel, if it can't spin freely, it means ur brake are biting ur disc continuously.. Better get a workshop to check for it as continuing use might result in a bad shaped brake disc, faster worn out brake pads and higher fc..

Metal sound? Is it like Szz Szz Szz Szz lidat? I oso got this problem before and it's due to worn out brake pad.. Maybe u can check ur brake pad, see whether is it finishing..

Try pressing the rear brake while spinning ur rear wheel, see whether after u release the rear brake does the wheel continue to spin freely.. Try finding a few frens to help u out unless u got the jet kit to jet up ur bike..

Afterall it's better to get a workshop to check it for u.. U won't wan more damage to be done to ur brake / brake disc.. It'll be more ex to replace them..

Juz my 2c worth of knowledge as I also had alot of problems with my brakes before..

The szz szz sound can be due to new brake pads or worn out brake pads, told by UM mechanics.. Hope you get a gd check of ur bike.. :cheeky:

I'm riding a spec one and i think some kok knocked my bike by accident or on purpose. Now the side of digital clock and the mileage meter, has this smeared ink, something like when you drop your phone in a terrible manner. Any idea how much to fix that? I hope its not too expensive!

380 if i'm not wrong from fjt. diy.

just the circuit board(green) alone. should come with the odometer & time LCD display.

any other cheaper solutions?

cant man. my time lcd display also spoilt. so just bear with it.

thankfully, my odometer lcd display still fine.

had seen the internal circuit board some time ago; the lcd fitting(with the time and odo) is fastened onto the green 1 piece circuit board. not able to unscrew.

its white in colour if i remember correctly- refering to the lcd fitting. encased by hard plastic.
