Is louder horn a need? Or juz to show off?

according to ah koon...its almost identical in terms of loundess...except that the air horn has an echo...

for my many yrs of driving i only use my horn twice cos i always drive slow and either siam or let others pass as car more stable, however when comes to bike, loud horn is very important. although bike can siam more easy but sudden movement can be quite dangerous.. suay suay kenna oil patch, water, high spd veh pass by..

Tok till oil patch,i really scare.

 

The first time i skidded was playin corner along AYE exit clementi ave.6.After that exit that was a right bend.When i kup my SP only the whole bike skidded...

 

My fren infront know i buang liao run backwards to rescue me.While running he almost fall down also cuz very slippery. . . -oil patch

Air-horn needs to have a separate compressor to compress the air before passing it through the horn.

 

Stebel, fiamm and all the other snail looking shaped ones are classified under electric horn just that it sound like an air horn because of its construction.

1 set = 2 horn

 

2 set = 4 horn (wah dunno power or not)

dat time my bf pillion me along pasir panjang rd. den there's this fooking male driver, wif kids n maid in his car. den he oso drove super recklessly ok. stick to our butts like wad lydat. den some more, drive in front of us den slow down ALOT den change lane no signal. den my bf horn at him lor. den he heard it, den "play" wif us. cos he buiay song. he gestured to my bf. den i diao him lah. he keep doing irritaitng stuffs lor... den on the harbarfront flyover dere, got 1 container very slow mah. of cos will slow down the traffic. my bf went infront of dat fooker. he not happy den horn us.. ccb.. he's got maid n kids lor.. still wanna do this kinda thing. den me n my bf showed him THE international hand sign.

i agree, kids r v impressionable and they take after their parents if the upbringing is not good.

 

always got this kind of driver one. damn i can't have electric horn cos my fairing haiz. had to take it out other i would love to c errant drivers jump too! stock horn when parked sounds loud enuf but on exp way n all tat noise, hmm still not good enuf though.

i've tried the stebel horn and still find it not loud enough lei, normal small road still reasonably can make it la, but if travel along expressway with speed of about 90km/hr, i tried my horn and dun think they are loud enough lei:cry:

 

Anyone got other better recommandation of louder horn than the stebel?

i've thought of installing air horn as well, but are they anywhere better? How bout those bus or Class5 truck horn mention earlier? If they really loud, will wanna source for them liao:cheeky:

 

Not that i am a horn flick, jus tat i get super piss off by those driver who dun care bout us rider and still can cut into our lane even after we've horn to warn them.
