I bought my Honda Deauville 5 mths ago when it's 2 yrs +.

It looked new and tip top condition. I then made some checks on the bike. From reliable sources, I had favorable information. There were some expensive improvements.

As I was looking for a "wife" and it appeared that I had met the "wife". haha . What more can I asked for?

So far, she had not failed in tantalizing me with its smoothness, comfort and stability.

Anyway, MR BIKER, it was nice chatting with you over the phone.

Regards - J8

Bro MR BIKER, I am avoiding top box so that I will learn to carry minimum. I maybe able to that for 3 reasons.

1. My extra large pannier cover is 10 inches wide. With the internal width 5 inches, I have a total 0f 15 inches. 2 FF helmet plus extra spaces for some barang barang. There is a tunnel between the panniers - I store my rain coat.

2. I am planning a carrier rack with a backrest in place of top box. It will only be used I need to carry more than what the extra large panniers can take.

3. By doing the above I may be able to keep the look I prefer of my Honda Deauville. No need for rear tiny white letter box - it has little capacity physically, other than frightening the wit out of some errant motorists, haha

As for the video camera - thanks for thought - I had that planned but not fixed yet. I have in mind on handle bar type but it has to be raised high to avoid viewing through the windshield. With the wind flow, the image might "shake" more so if i use the on helmet type. I like the idea of capturing the sceneries as I ride.

You might want to check your side stand cutoff switch. It just might be a bit sticky and needs oiling. Have the same problem with my 650. Pressing the start button, nothing happens, even on neutral and side stand up. But once I pull in the clutch, the bike will start.

Aiya miss the meet up, too bad got family time lah.

Anyway need some help here, recently starting the bike is kinda weird. Its goes like this... switch on ignition, press start button and nothing happen. The engine switch is in "on" positioon and the bike is in neutral. Typically something like that would means 3 things - Battery problem, rectifier problem or start motor carbon problem. I have change the starter motor carbon 2 months back so should not be that problem. Battery and rectifier seems healthy from the onboard volt meter that I have installed. Also I make sure I switch off the headlight.

I also check the clutch switch, you know when you are in gear the bike will not start and you will need to press your clutch level then the bike will start, but also don't think its that switch problem.

So now I no idea already. This morning it happen again, switch on the ignition switch and press the start button and you only see the green neutral light goes dim but nothing happen. I push the bike out and engage gear and push it a little and let go the clutch for the engine to lock in gear. Some mechanics taught me this that if the starter motor is dirty, this will help to start the bike in short term. So I try... then back to neutral and press the start button again and this time the bike came alive.

So now really puzzle what is the cause. Anyone care to give any advise?

Let me figure out for you regarding the twin horn. The original is not to my liking. we must make sure that we can pass the inspection. I fixed a car horn on my previous bike and managed to pass when I said that it was original.

Electronic Horns are LTA friendly but not air horns.

I was thinking of Stebel Electronic Horns, which i am using on my car right now,

the problem is to find a place to fix it, you see the fairing makes it quite problematic to

locate an ideal location.

Pannier Inner Bags in set

Let's consider mass ordering it, The set of 2 bags equals very efficient complete space utilisation. Plus portability without inefficient small packets stuffed here and there

Bros Hippo and Redlavita : what do you think?.
