K8 so far so good. Cramp only from not moving and cruising throughout the journey. If not no prob.

Guys, what is yr FC currently?

 

My machine clocked 300km before the 1st bar blinking, i.e. approx 23km/l.

GSR 400 have an average FC range from 20 to 23km/l depending on the riding style. so having approx 23km/l very good already.

 

Hey all

Finally changed my spark plugs and air filter yesterday. New year new plugs.

 

After changing, RPM seems to drop a little. Will need to adjust again.

so, got any adnormal noise after changing plugs n air filter? like turbine sound or something?

 

anyone bike, the throttle twist feel tight/heavy, enough to make hand cramp just to maintain speed on e-way..?

 

from the info i gather, it seems that GSR K6 likely got this issues, and its the tension spring at the throttle body that cause this effect, and not the throttle or the cable..

 

so, i need to know from u guys especially those using k7 or k8, is your throttle twist feel light..i believe the tension spring is of diff quality/built/toughness...

 

off-topic: Its a known issues with Yamaha FJR models...thus maybe our bike also same..

does ur bike have this prob when u 1st ride it? or is it recently then u discover this prob?

 

if this prob is there when u 1st ride it, mayb its the spring from the throttle that cause such tightness.

if it is recently that u discover this prob, likely to b the throttle cable.

 

solution: try another bike's throttle n u'll know if urs is normal.

Yoo bro,mine's a K6,but sometimes as if bikes got mood swings.throttle sumtimes feel light ,but otherwise heavy.care to explain cause if we lube the cable and the tension spring,will it prove any difference is it??

Exact issues with mine, bike like girl..got mood swing..but then ..after much research done....when the throttle spring get hot..then tension become tight..and its not the cable wear or not enough lubricant..

 

Anyway i already rectify it, by reduce the tension of the spring at the throttle body, need open airbox..advantage is that now the throttle super light..like riding wave125 or spark135..the disadvantages is that when bike stationary and in neutral gear..when u blip the throttle..it will goes slowly down...but when on the move..no issues at all..in fact ..u will 'play' throttle more...

BUT i chose to keep quiet because this is a public forum and people deserve to post anything they want that doesnt embarass another party in public.

 

but to see other people get shot down, and mind you it's not just ah gui, when people like you also act the same way although using different words, makes me feel that it is unfair. i do agree that ah gui craps all the time(sorry ah gui, just being frank), but that's just him. he could have just been left alone, but instead some choose to voice their disagreements with him over this thread. people like you who also act the same way get away scot free.
