I sometimes also forgot which gear, will be like want to kick up and realise that can't kick up any more. But i can't be bother about such things.

in summary, 3 places: vector1 (lavender), sanfu (kaki bukit) & hkl.. prices $180 and up, and hard to diy so gotta pay for installation also. i think, this gadget won't come any cheaper than what's on the market now. u can try joining i guess if they're gonna do an m.o.

the price difference between a gsr4 and a spec3 is getting much narrower actually. if the gsr4 costs 13.8k, then according to u the spec3 would 10.8k? for 2nd hand maybe, but unlikely a 1st hand bike..

13.8k is a price the bike shop gives you when u're jus "asking around" or "jus looking".

 

when u're about to seal the deal its a totally different story. i got my 400 at $14k ++ because of the high COE n insurance.

 

BTW spec 3's machine price is $9.8k excluding GST. plus COE insurance road tax whatever admin fees i dont think will be at $10.8k

Hello ppl,

 

I am currently surveying which bike to upgrade to. My 2A tp at cdc will be on 27th Feb and already i can't stop thinking of which bike to upgrade between the 3(GSR4,XJR400 or super4)and and already i kinda confuse.

 

i have only been riding for just over a year now and i don't really know much ctc nor friends that rides. My souce of information 99% of them are from respective agent website.

 

I kinda have a preference for XJRbeing not as common as super 4 i would assume that it would be cheaper than super 4 around 12k but was quote 13.5k++ on the road. But the GSR4 is making me think twice cause the price is not that much of a diff.

 

Anywayi thought of comparing which among the 3 which wuld be cheaper. The Machine price i obtain is from the respective agent. However i think my calculation below is not that quite accurate. I have yet to include COE and the price is almost the same as what some of the on the road price.

 

Can anyone comment if the OMV = machine price of vehicle?i am using the machine price as the OMV price for my calculation.

 

Also what would be the minimum downpayment? I was inform by yamaha sales agent min downpayment is 4k and interest is at 5% anually. Is this normal or is there any cheaper loans?

 

Appreciate the advice and remarks if any.

when i buy a 2A bike i do not go round local shop asking what is the machine price. I visit jap website and find how much they are selling bike in Japan then u convert yen to sing u know what the true worth of the bike.

 

GSR 400 machine price is about $10800. Estimated breakdown:-

 

Machine Price: 10800

Insurance : $700

COE $1189 ( last transacted COE)

Road Tax: 70

Registration Fee:140

Additional Registration Fee(ARF): 1400

Total : $14,299

 

Dealers can give you any breakdown like the one above and quote u $14300 or Like what E J say his shop can quote 13800 and and the final deal was 14K. For me I like a transparent deal,no innovative hidden cost ( Agreement fee, GST ,ERP, penalty fee, must service the instalment all the way, no sub sale etc etc) before I sign the dotted line. Jus my 2 cts worth.

well that depends on how well you know the shop. Can be $500 if the boss knew you or 2k with guarantor if you are a new customer. Interest rate shld be 4 to 4.5% for new bike.

anyway i'm experiencing unstable idling speed plus my bike backfIres. it happens after i pump a full tank of Pak Lah's vpower. LKY's vpower i didnt have these problems.. Hmm

if u are referring to the storage under the seat then the answer is 'Nothing'. There is no storage under the seat. The big compartment as in Super 4, the same place was took up by the battery, & other electronic devices, so there no space to put anything. I can squeeze my bike cover only at the place to put the 'U' bar. Thts all.

Hmm.. Is there any difference between the GSR400 and GSR600? They both share the same frame izzit? How to differentiate between the 2 of them?
