yup, thats why i ordered thru amazon.com as they have measures to ensure that we get our 1 to 1 exchange if anything happen.. and from the review..

i mostly see is gd review.. not much of bad review..

those bad ones are about the item being spoilt or no invoice attached... thats all... rest are complaints about sizing matters which you will have to bear with it and make sure you order a correct or bigger size.

Oh those reviews u read are from leatherup web? Try reading other forums abt them, yup I think if I wanna buy I will also use 3 rd party to deliver

I banned myself and my son from going to facebook. It seems to be taking away our life from the real world. It's been almost a month since I last logged into facebook. :)

I didn't know Facebook can be that extreme, I always thought its meant to link people together...

To note, I think it is better to strike out a balance similar to control in electronic entertainment (I.e PC, PS3, ETC)

Yah man... it can be so extreme. When you're indulged in playing the games... you'll lost track of time and space. You're right about striking a balance with electronic games and real life. It's scary to see that most children are addicted to games at a very early age. My kids are one of them... so I'm trying to re-educate them the value of "real life".

Yeah, outdoor activities are great for family fun. Too much gaming will definitely isolate people. Moderation is best huh?

Oh, speaking of which, where are those new guys who used to be posting quite abit here in the thread?

I guess you're referring to me? Haha. I guess work and family commitment taking up most of my time nowadays. Barely online nowadays, except just to look at garage sales for good deals :D

Working shift with irregular off days has made me miss most the DIY and gathering outings. My off days, when they do get by, are used up to rest at home and/or catch up with my loved ones.

btw, i gotten my jacket and boots from leatherup and its PERFECT. the sizing are all correct jus that the sleeve of the jacket is abit long..

What boots did u get bro? I'm thinking of getting some boots for better protection of my feet. Currently my 'uniform' to work is a FF Helmet, Rjays Octane Jacket and my trusty Dr Marten's ankle cut boot.

Any good waterproof riding boots to recommend?

Oppss... was quite busy recently, but i do check the thread everyday, haha... too bad was unable to join the DIY session, hopefully there is be another one coming soon.

I am thinking to get a mesh jacket, thinking of Komine, Taici,... any recommendation? I saw one at CMO, spirit Cordura Jackets, but it is close to S$200, abit ex for me... any recommendation?

If i remember correctly, i read about fox glove at CMO, those gloves look fancy for me, but too bad it seems like being removed, u guys know where can i get those? Thinking of getting another pair of glove, haha...

By the way, is Saturday, nice day riders!

Wow, nice! A plethora of responses!

Great to hear from you all, and how are you 3 doing. Yeah, its great to spend time with loved ones, so don't feel bothered by my comments, alright?

There is a discussion on waterproof boots here so you can compare. Many great discussions on boots and functionalities.

I'll be getting the jackets from LeatherUp once I am able to cough out the dough, and for that I might need for your help in forwarding, mmkbad, don't mind me asking.

I'm thinking of a short trip to Kulai next week? For Nasi Lemak? Any takers?

Or perhaps something local.

I think u meant Smintboy bro. Hehe. I've never bought jackets online before. After looking at Smintboys boots, i'm interested to get them too. Maybe i can piggyback on your shipping to save costs. :D

I've looked into the Waterproof Riding Shoes thread, they are a bit too expensive for my taste. My budget is below $200ish. Smintboys Joe Rocket seems to fit the bill perfectly.

alrite, guys... the way i order was thru amazon.. jus seach for LeatherUp's merchandise.. and amazon is giving free internal USA delivery. where else.. LeatherUp themselve is charging a flat rate USD$7.95 for that.

LeatherUp did sent me a 5% discount coupon before I ordered which makes it cheaper than ordering thru Amazon by about USD$2. but the hassel is that they dun accept direct international credit card payment (which means our credit card) and i have jus check that their paypal payment doesn't work. so jus order thru Amazon.com.

REMEMBER, its good to consolidate goods then ship over which is cheaper, but calculate your total values of the goods with shipping charge mus not exceed SGD $500 or you will be charge for a 7% GST.

As for sizing... the jacket i took a M size by matching the Size chart provided by LeathUp to my chest size. i didn't order one size up becos i feel that those comment about one size up are for our USA counterpart who are always bigger in size ....

the shoe itself i took a US size 9 which is = euro 42~43. this you can find from your own track shoes. but if you like wearing very tight track shoes withour leaving a gap infront of your toes.. then i suggest you get a one size up for the boots.

hope this are helpful tips for you guys from my experience.

For shipping, i use citibank's globeshopper facility which has a 15% discount currently and discount code can be found on Citibank SG website. my shipping charge was about SGD $62. so if you guys can get any cheaper shipping than mine, you have a very good shipping deal.

bro furious, when you sign up an account with borderlinx with your credit card infor & delivery address. you will be automatically issue with a bordlinx USA & UK delievery address. so when you sign up account with amazon. use the USA delivery address you have to input into your account.

Once you ordered. the goods will all be sent to that USA address borderlinx give you. and then go to borderlinx website and request them to sent over to items to you in SG.
